National nonprofit credit counseling agency Take Charge America decodes APR increases – and the importance of keeping tabs on interest rates
PHOENIX – (July 9, 2019) – A credit card’s annual percentage rate (APR) is a crucial detail for credit card holders to understand. That’s because, if you carry a debt on your card from month-to-month, your APR determines how much interest you pay on purchases. A low APR is ideal – but it can increase seemingly out of the blue.
“There are several factors that impact your APR,” said Michael Sullivan, a personal financial consultant with Take Charge America, a national nonprofit credit counseling and debt management agency. “Some of these factors might be influenced by card holder behaviors, while others aren’t. It’s important to understand the terms surrounding your APR so you’re not surprised by fees down the road, long after you’ve opened new credit.”
Sullivan points out five common reasons for an APR increase.
The best way to prevent an expensive hike in APR is by paying off the full balance when it’s due to avoid carrying a debt from month-to-month.

Produced by Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Babymetal), "Primrose" is a massive song that encapsulates the band's energy and follows Vocalist CJ Gilpin through the darkness she has experienced in her life.
On the track, CJ shares "Sometimes we have to fall and fall to truly awaken and conquer our egos. There's still so much we have to learn about ourselves and this is a chance to express my journey and open the door to anyone fighting the same demons. We want you to see that through darkness, light can be found."

On the recently announced departure of Bass player Danny Lewis, Guitarist Aled Evans shares "Unfortunately we're having to say goodbye to our friend and bassist Danny, as he has decided to focus his time on his wonderful family. We wish him all the best with his future and we'll miss him dearly!"
Along with the recent single "Hand In Hand", this is the first taste of new music from the band since their 2018 debut Recovery, which has been streamed over 20M times. The EP has received praise from outlets like Louder, Rock Sound, and Kerrang!, who states, "This five-song collection is, simply, fucking brilliant." The band even won the award for "Best British Newcomer" for last year's Kerrang! Awards.
Dream State has finished recording their debut album with Weller and is set to release it later this year.
On the road, the band has kept busy with appearances at Download Festival in Summer 2018, Unify Gathering 2019 in Australia. They supported The Amity Affliction across UK and Europe in Fall 2018, following other tours with Neck Deep (Europe), As it Is (UK) and Babymetal (Europe). Their UK headline tour earlier this year consisted of over 25 dates (including a sold out Underworld in London).

The call for donations comes after a difficult July Fourth week for donations when hundreds fewer blood drives were organized by volunteer hosts than a typical week, compounding a shortfall of more than 24,000 blood donations in June.
