Santa will be at his house during the month of December at specific times. For availability please visit the Civic League Christmas Tree Lighting page.
These last few months have been busy for the Youth Council. In November, some of our service projects were oriented around memorializing our beloved late mayor, Major Brent Taylor. We wrapped lights around light posts down Washington Boulevard with red, white, and blue tinsel along with flags bought by residents. We also passed out green light bulbs as a tribute to all active duty soldiers, veterans, and those who died fighting for this great nation. The Youth City Council would like to thank all who have served and are currently serving now. Our hearts and condolences go out to the Taylor family with this sudden, unexpected, and devastating loss for a man who did so much for our City. Major Brent Taylor and family, thank you.
November they completed the annual turkey drop, which provides a Thanksgiving dinner to a few North Ogden families that may not have had it otherwise. This fun activity helps us learn how to find the best value for the most food possible, as well as providing service for those in need.
During the month of December we look forward to spreading holiday cheer. We start the month off handing out hot chocolate and cookies at the annual lighting ceremony. We also help in the Santa house all throughout the month. Make sure you stop in to visit our Santa at his North Ogden house!

Ten families in the local area will receive Christmas gifts and money, and the Christmas Box House will have donations going there too. A Few other families will receive specific gifts, including a headstone for Zackary Kempe, who tragically passed away a few months ago, and a gift for Mayor Taylor’s family.
