WEEK 6: SOLVE DISRUPTIVE CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR

Help for Kids Who Act... Then Think
Children with ADHD act on impulse. It's a matter of neurological self-regulation — not intentional disobedience — but they often land in time-out. Use these strategies to improve behavior and self-control at school and at home.

The Feedback Loop Your Child Needs
Kids with ADHD need clear expectations, plus consistent rewards and consequences. This is exactly what a Daily Report Card provides. Learn how to implement one correctly.

FOR TEACHERS
8 Common Behavior Problems, Solved
Have a student who argues, takes things, or blurts out in class? Try these solutions from an educator who understands ADHD.

No Child Should Ever Lose Recess
Students with ADHD show improved attention, mood, and behavior after physical activity, so taking away recess is a totally counterproductive punishmet

Why Do Kids with ADHD "Act Out"?
Before you can fix your child's behavior at school, you must understand why it happens — and respond in a way that addresses core symptoms.

UNITE FOR TERM LIMITS (U4TL) COMMENCES GATHERING SIGNATURES FOR CITIZEN INITIATIVE

SALT LAKE CITY -- UT  On September 9, 2019, the elections branch of the Utah Lieutenant Governor’s Office announced that the U4TL can begin gathering signatures for the term limit citizen initiative. Without the elections branch's approval, U4TL would be unable to gather signatures.

U4TL is proposing a consecutive twelve-year term limit for state legislators and a consecutive eight-year term limit for executive elected officials.

According to the law, U4TL needs more than 115,000 valid signatures from registered voters across the state.

"We are aiming to collect more than that because of possible duplicate signatures, ineligible signers, incomplete entries, retractions, and the like. But we can't just get signatures from the populous counties. We need a strong representation of voters from at least 26 of the state's 29 senate districts," David Westerby, a sponsor of the citizen initiative Unite for Term Limits explained.

For more information about the proposed Term Limits Act and information about how to volunteer to collect signatures or donate, go to unite4termlimits.org.
