Little Prairie, BC - March 12, 2018 - Alternative/indie duo Violet Night is set to break out this year with their debut LP, Colours Of You. Featuring previously released single "North," Colours Of You consists of ten atmospheric and anthemic songs about love, loss, hope, and happiness. Colours Of You will be released on May 4th, and is now available for pre-order at smarturl.it/VN-COY. For more information, please visit: www.violetnight.org.

"Our hope, beyond being there for people, is to inspire them to create their own Colours Of You. Music is therapeutic for both of us. It's carried us through the sunniest days and most violent storms of our lives," shares vocalist/guitarist Connor Pohl."We just wanted to make something to give to others what we've received from so many beautiful records. There's no words to describe the feeling we get as artists knowing the music is resonating with people and helping them, even if it's just enough to get out of bed in the morning."

He continues: "We grew up on everything from heavy metal and rap, to emo and pop. We try to create a colourful mosaic of all those influences when we write; we've never created with borders or put limitations on what we are allowed to sound like. We'll always do whatever feels most honest to us at that moment in our lives and I think we've done that here. We are really proud of the album and hope the hues presented complement yours: the colours of you."

Violet Night don't just play their instruments; they use them as tools to carefully construct emotion. Hailing from rural British Columbia, vocalist/guitarist Connor Pohl and keyboardist T.J. Rounthwaite aim to traverse soundscapes as diverse as their province's landscapes. From the soaring heights of mountains to the tranquil beauty of a forest, the sky's the limit with this band's sound and potential.

A recent mainstage appearance at Grizfest and co-headlining B.C. run with The Statistics proved Violet Night's charisma belongs on the stage, as much as their creativity belongs in the studio. With the floodgates of possibility opened and waves already forming, be prepared to be awash in Colours of You - and Violet Night.

Statement: Rep. Mia Love Files for Re-Election

“I’ve been laser-focused on listening to and representing the needs of the 4th district. We’ve tackled tax reform, passed legislation to help rural economies and every step of the way fought for the sanctity of life.

I am passionate about running because I’m proud of the work we’ve done but know there is much still left to be accomplished.

Our most crucial legislation often comes down to just a few votes. Every success we've had (and could have in the future) can be thrown into reverse by a Nancy Pelosi controlled House of Representatives as she will keep Ben McAdams square in line behind her. I’m committed to fighting for less government control, lower taxes and protecting the unborn.”  Rep. Mia Love

Ogden City Announces Groundbreaking for Stone Hill Homes

March 12, 2017

OGDEN, Utah Ogden will be receiving a new neighborhood in the downtown area with the arrival of Stone Hill Homes. Since 1990, Ogden City Community Development has been working to restore the historic neighborhoods and has sold 200 renovated and 152 newly built homes.

The City invests in housing and neighborhood improvement projects in order to enhance the quality of life for residents who live, work and play in the area. The upcoming Stone Hill development is intended to further that mission by bringing in new aesthetics and welcoming new community members.

This new housing community will be built on the former Dee School lot, with the groundbreaking event happening on March 16, 2018 at 11:30am.

The homes are built in a style inspired by the Prairie-School architecture prevalent in much of Ogden’s central neighborhoods, and feature six different floor plan designs. Ogden has seen success with a similar housing development project completed just a few years ago, the Oak Den Bungalows. This popular 23 home arts & crafts style subdivision was in such demand that all the homes were sold out a year ahead of schedule.

“There’s a collaborative drive between Ogden City, the RDA and the Ogden School District to support education and neighborhood improvement programs that are fundamental to the community's economic and social well-being,” said Ogden City Mayor Mike Caldwell. “Bringing in new housing developments, like Stone Hill, is just one of the steps we’ve taken to further this initiative.”

The first phase of Stone Hill Homes is underway, and offers are being accepted beginning March 19, 2018. More information on the site availability and building plans can be found online.

#  #  # About Stone Hill Homes: Stone Hill Homes is a contemporary housing division designed to give future residents a new way to live in the heart of Ogden City. The designs are inspired by the Prairie-School architecture prevalent in much of Ogden’s historic central neighborhoods and feature six unique floor plans.

Experiencing the best of the Wasatch Front will never be a problem for those that choose to make this mountain metro community the place they call home.   stonehillhomes.com
