Releases New Song + Music Video
"QUIT ft. Travis Barker"
Upcoming EP
ROCK$TAR FAMOUS
Out May 31, 2018
May 11, 2018 - LOS ANGELES, CA - Fans of the emo-rock-rapper lil aaron are hitting repeat on his newest track, "QUIT ft. Travis Barker" which was released earlier today, garnering a coveted spot on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist. This is the first single from his upcoming EP, ROCK$TAR FAMOUS, due out May 31, 2018. The accompanying music video, featuring a cameo from Travis Barker (Blink-182), who also is featured on the track, gives a visual of the story so many people know too well - loving someone who you know is wrong, but being unable to quit those feelings. Check it out, here.
This first single from the upcoming EP is a perfect example of the balance that lil aaron is able to create between the rock and rap worlds. On that note, Aaron shared "This was one of the first records I wrote during a trip to Hawaii and is the most heavily Pop Rock influence song on the project. It was just one of those songs that even on the first time listening to it, to me it felt like I had heard it a million times... so naturally I had to get Travis on it!"
Aaron not only delivers a unique sound in a sometimes other-wise formulaic music scene, but also embraces his own grunge-goth style with 100% confidence. He is able to blend the internet music discovery scene with a mainstream audience while collaborating with artists and creators from vastly different genres. Transitioning from a songwriter to performer, lil aaron's first EP, GLOING PAIN$, was released in 2016 and he has since shared the stage with artists like Blackbear, Kim Petras, smrtdeath and more. With the release of ROCK$TAR FAMOUS later this month, 2018 is set to be the year of toxic green.

UNITED UTAH PARTY CALLS FOR INVESTIGATION INTO UNAUTHORIZED CHANGES
UUP members report that their party affiliations have been altered without their consent
Amid reports of unauthorized changes of voter registration of United Utah Party members, Richard Davis, Party Chair, today sent a letter to Justin Lee, the Utah Director of the State Elections Office, calling for an investigation into why these unauthorized changes took place.
"Several people have reported that they registered with the party and then later checked their party registration, and they found they were no longer identified as United Utah Party members," Davis explained. "In some cases, the voter had even received an earlier confirmation that they were registered with the UUP."
One such voter is Jim Bennett, who ran as the UUP’s first candidate in last year’s special congressional election.
“During the campaign, I posted a video blog in which I changed my registration to join the United Utah Party. I received an email and a voter ID card confirming the change, and I’ve made no changes since,” Bennett said. “So I had every reason to believe I was a proud member of the United Utah Party, but the state of Utah now says I’m unaffiliated.”
Davis drafted a letter to Justin Lee requesting additional information about how this happened.
“We are simply asking the State Elections Office to conduct an investigation and requesting relevant records to determine how these changes occurred without the voter's approval,” Davis said.
Bennett is not alone in discovering his party affiliation had been changed. Eric Eliason, the United Utah Party candidate for the House of Representatives in the First Congressional District, had previously changed his party registration to United Utah Party while launching his campaign. Shortly thereafter, he received a voter registration card with the UUP designation, only to receive another last weekend that had “Unaffiliated” marked as his party preference.
Jared Oates, the UUP Social Media Director, had also filmed his own change of party as part of an instructional video for potential UUP members. He, too, received confirmation of the change, but a recent online check of his registration showed that his registration had been changed from “United Utah Party” to “Republican” without his consent.
When presented with these concerns, Justin Lee responded that these changes were the result of clerical errors at the county level. Davis pointed out that these changes were made for voters in multiple counties, which suggests that there is a larger problem that needs to be addressed.
Below is the content of the letter Richard Davis sent to Justin Lee at the State Elections Office.
_________
Dear Justin,
As discussed on our recent phone call, it has come to the attention of the United Utah Party (“UUP”) that some UUP members have had the party affiliation on their voter registration records changed from “United Utah” to “Unaffiliated” without their consent. Since then, we have had one member say that his affiliation had been changed from “United Utah” to “Republican” without his consent. These unauthorized changes have included the UUP’s former congressional candidate, Jim Bennett, and the UUP’s current candidate for the first district congressional seat, Eric Eliason. We have received reports that these unauthorized changes in party affiliation have occurred in the records of a number of voters from different counties. These people say they changed their registration to UUP and that, when they checked recently, found that they were not registered as UUP members. My understanding from our conversation is that you have a record of each of the changes made, and that you know the identity of each individual who made the change.
I am writing to formally request that the Lieutenant Governor’s Office conduct an investigation into the unauthorized alteration of voter registration information and party affiliation in order to determine (a) the identity and number of voters whose party affiliation has been changed without their consent, and (b) how and why these records were changed so that we can ensure this does not happen again in the future.
We are submitting concurrently with this letter a GRAMA request to your office requesting documents and communications concerning the unauthorized change in voter registration records described above, in the hopes that we can proactively assist the Lieutenant Governor’s Office with identifying those members who were impacted and promptly resolving this matter. We ask that the Lieutenant Governor’s Office take steps to ensure that any such records are preserved.
If the UUP can provide any information to the Lieutenant Governor’s Office that would assist in your investigation, please do not hesitate to let us know.
We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter.
Sincerely,
Richard Davis
Party Chair
United Utah Party
