Heritage President Kay Coles James, was slated to represent conservatives on an advisory council set up by Google to discuss the future of artificial intelligence. She would have brought valuable insights, but Google disbanded it. Why?

It was reported that hostile liberal employees pressured Google; they smeared Kay as an “outspoken bigot” who supports policies that “dehumanize and marginalize.” Google employees commented on an internal discussion thread that because she disagrees with them on immigration policies and LGBT issues, she is similar to an “avowed racist” or a “white supremacist”.

They aren’t calling Kay this because of who she is – an African-American woman who overcame segregation to become one of the most successful female conservatives in America. They are calling her these names because of what she believes and because she represents your voice and your concerns. If you disagree with them, they will try their best to shut you down. When they censor Kay, they censor us all.

You can show them that conservatives won’t be silenced. Your gift will make conservative voices heard, from the tech sector in California to the halls of Congress, Heritage will be your voice.

Help us spread the news and views liberals would shut down by clicking this secure link.

We won’t back down, but you have to be with us on this, or they won’t get the message.

Sincerely,

Genevieve Wood
Senior Advisor and Spokesperson

P.S. Liberals in the tech business would silence us all if they could. Please send them a clear message by giving your gift here: https://secured.heritage.org/_2019/silenced

PRODUCED WITHOUT BENEFIT OF INSPECTION

WASHINGTON, April 12, 2019 – Denver Processing LLC, a Denver, Colo. establishment, is recalling approximately 13,865 pounds of raw pork and beef products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and outside inspection hours, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The raw pork and beef items were produced on April 9, 2019. The following products are subject to recall:

These items were shipped to retail locations in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

The problem was discovered on April 10, 2019, when FSIS Inspection Program Personnel (IPP) were notified that the firm had produced after their approved hours of operation.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Adam Williamson, Consumer Affairs Manager – Liaison, Denver Processing LLC, at (303) 778-3168. Members of the media with questions about the recall can contact Dan Kirk, VP Customer Service, Denver Processing LLC, at (844) 303-9563.

BYU Students Hold A Sit-In Demonstration to Urge Honor Code Reform. The weirdest comment? “There is nothing dishonorable about using the bathroom in the apartment of someone of the opposite sex”

Dear LEGISLATURE: MORE $$$ FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING, NOW, IN THE SPECIAL SESSION! Utah already added a $1 billion dollar bond for roads two years ago. In March, they had a $1.6 billion bill to add even more money for roads (less than that amount passed). The state spends $660 million dollars a year, automatically earmarked from the general fund to roads. Utah remains #1 state for roads --but the GOP-controlled legislature has NOTHING for affordable housing. They turned down a paltry $24 million dollars for AFFORDABLE HOUSING, ACROSS UTAH!

It is Time for Utah Teachers to Strike! And It is time for the rest of us to support our teachers and our children! The Utah GOP party machine is NEVER going to give teachers respect or put enough money aside to make our kids competitive in the international economy. The state right now has over a billion dollars in the education fund--yet they refuse to spend it on EDUCATION! Read these numbers and understand the Legislature does not respect educators and staff:*Utah’s average teacher pay ($47,604) is significantly lower than the national average ($60,483).

*Utah’s average pay is also the lowest among the eight Mountain States (including Idaho).

*Utah’s teachers on average earn less than three-quarters of what private sector professionals with bachelor’s degrees in other fields earn. *Stats from Utah Foundation

In a Pentagon study of all US military bases, Utah’s Hill is the most endangered base from climate change! The Utah Legislature, Governor and GOP political machine are not worried.

So Much is Wrong With This Sanctimonious Op-Ed by Orrin Hatch. First, he has the audacity to complain about court packing after his leadership in the Merrick Garland fiasco.
