Gordon Davis tells a story ‘Through the Eyes of Frank Tumbolt’

Book is about a young man who is yearning for adventure that leads him to join in some of America’s epic events

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. – Gordon Davis is very much interested in the late 1700s to1800s eras in history. His interest triggered his passion to write his book titled “Through the Eyes of Frank Tumbolt: Lunch Time Novels” (published by Xlibris) which tells the story of Frank Tumbolt, a young man who is yearning for adventure that leads him to participate in some of America’s epic events.

Frank lived a life of adversity, rough and hard. He had been through more in his life than most men could have lived in four lifetimes. Through it all, Frank had been a gatherer—a gatherer in his mind, in every detail, in each arduous tale and even the minor anecdotal adventures.

Frank’s stories were not all tall tales. Most were quite believable, and most were based on his life experiences. Frank was adventurous and lived one heck of a life. His talent for talking about these adventures just brought the stories to life, and one could just visualize every detail as it unfolded. As he told the stories repeatedly, Frank embellished each a little more. He had a knack for that.

Frank and his Indian friend Joe have fought together, trapped, lived in the wilds and have been friends for 30 years. There have been good times and bad, rough times and happy times. They had one hell of an adventure together.

“Through the Eyes of Frank Tumbolt: Lunch Time Novels” is short, concise and easy to comprehend so that readers can start and complete it in two-to-three sittings. The length of the novel does not compromise the plot or lessen the characters’ contributions to the story line. It is filled with enough intrigue, twist and turns to keep readers riveted and wanting to read more.
