Calling all Rocket Scientists! We are so excited for STEM Night Tuesday, April 23rd from 6pm-7:30pm. Come learn how to make a rocket, see elephant toothpaste erupt like a volcano, participate in experiments & labs… and SO much more!!! We will also be having the Buy One Get One Free event for the Book Fair that night during STEM night so you can also pick up a few books before heading home!
Through the work of our community council this year, Bates will participate in WSD Ascend beginning 2019-2020 school year. Through the use of technology and instruction, our teachers will be able to create more opportunities for engagement, collaboration and critical thinking in the classroom. Our teachers are currently going through training using Google Suite with our Technology Department and Technology integration training with our District Curriculum Department.
During our STEM Night, one of our stations will be information about about WSD Ascend as we work to broaden learning beyond the classroom with use of technology for each student. Click here for more info on WSD Ascend
