Hemp, Inc. Featured in Plastics News Regarding Entry Into Hemp Bioplastics Industry to Help Fill Growing Demand for Eco-friendly Materials
Las Vegas, NV, Sept. 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) announced today the Company was featured in “Plastics News” regarding the Company entering the hemp bioplastics industry. The Plastics News article titled “Hemp, Inc. taking hemp into bioplastics” details the operations at Hemp Inc.’s facility in Spring Hope, N.C., where the Company has begun processing industrial hemp for bioplastics. Within the article, the outlet describes the operations that will help fill the growing demand for hemp-based and natural materials.
According to the news source, the material that is being processed at the facility has completed positive beta testing. A quote from the original press release that is included in the article states, "This is a venture no one else is doing in America and what hemp was put on this earth to do," said Hemp, Inc. CEO Bruce Perlowin. "While everyone focuses on CBD, we are here focusing on the next big thing, which is the industrial part of the plant – the part that can help save the world."
In addition to the announcement regarding Hemp, Inc.’s entry into the hemp bioplastics industry, Plastics News also highlighted that the Company has two additional natural product ventures. These two product ventures include DrillWall™ and Spill-Be-Gone™ for the oil industry, making hemp bioplastics the Company’s third natural product venture. The outlet also included Hemp, Inc.’s promotional video entitled “Could Hemp Save the Planet?”
The hemp industry is expected to jump from $1.1 billion in revenue in the year 2018 to an estimated $2.6 billion by the year 2022, according to New Frontier Data. Additionally, bioplastics are predicted to control five percent of the plastics market by 2020 and rise to 40 percent by 2030, according to Grand View Research.

WHAT IS HEMP, INC.?
What is Hemp, Inc.? With a deep-rooted social and environmental mission at its core, Hemp, Inc. seeks to build a business constituency for the American small farmer, the American veteran, and other groups experiencing the ever-increasing disparity between tapering income and soaring expenses. As a leader in the industrial hemp industry with ownership of the largest commercial multi-purpose industrial hemp processing facility in North America, Hemp, Inc. believes there can be tangible benefits reaped from adhering to a corporate social responsibility plan.
HEMP, INC.’S TEN DIVISIONS
Hemp, Inc. has been helping to build the industrial hemp infrastructure that was basically non-existent in America. There are now ten divisions:
Division One – The Industrial Hemp Infrastructure
Division Two – The Hemp Farming Infrastructure
Division Three – The Hemp Extraction Infrastructure
Division Four – The Hemp Educational Infrastructure
Division Five – The Hemp Marketing Infrastructure
Division Six – Accessories, Products and Services
Division Seven – Research and Development
Division Eight – Industrial Hemp Investments and Joint Ventures
Division Nine – Industrial Hemp Consulting
Division Ten – Entertainment
Division One – The Industrial Hemp Infrastructure
The Industrial Hemp Infrastructure (Division One) currently consists of two hemp processing facilities across the country, with two more under development, which will include an in-house third party testing laboratory. The largest of the two is its multi-purpose industrial hemp processing facility and milling operation in Spring Hope, North Carolina. It’s the largest “industrial hemp processing center” in the western hemisphere and has grown to become one of the pre-eminent centers of the industrial hemp industry. The 85,000 square foot facility sits on a 9-acre campus. It is environmentally sustainable and was built from the ground up in hopes of “Making America Hemp Again." With a patent pending manufacturing process, the North Carolina facility is operating to process millions of pounds of our unique kenaf, hemp blend, to manufacture an all green natural loss circulation materials (LCMs) that are to be sold to the oil and gas drilling industry, along with an all green natural oil spill absorbent, a second industrial hemp/kenaf product called Spill-Be-Gone.
(To see a one-minute video of the millions of pounds of kenaf, go to Bruce Perlowin's personal Facebook page, September 7th, 11th, 13th, 20th and 22nd, 2018.)
In addition to the company’s industrial hemp processing facility in Spring Hope, North Carolina, Hemp, Inc. also has one of the most sophisticated local processing centers (LPC) in Medford, Oregon which focuses on hemp harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, bagging, storing, and in some cases selling high CBD hemp for the local farmers and for our own hemp grows in that area, and post processing for the CBD industry.
Hemp, Inc. also has 4,500 acres of land in Golden Valley, Arizona. Out of the 4,500 acres of land, 500 acres have currently been designated for the Veteran Village Kins Community (VVKC). Hemp, Inc. is preparing 300 of those 500 acres for hemp cultivation. The company aims to boost the economies of these towns by offering affordable hemp processing services, which incentivizes local growers to add hemp to their crop rotation. The company is continuing to scout new locations for local processing centers in Florida, Puerto Rico, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and several other states.
Thus far, Hemp, Inc.’s Local Processing Center (LPC) in Oregon has created over 200 seasonal jobs as well as many year-round jobs.
Division Two – The Hemp Farming Infrastructure
The Hemp Farming Infrastructure (Division Two) consists of hundreds of acres of hemp and kenaf growing in multiple locations, farm equipment, cloning rooms, clones and seeds, grow rooms, greenhouses, hemp drying facilities and a huge amount of peripheral farming tools and equipment. (Some of this farming infrastructure can be seen on Bruce Perlowin's personal Facebook page in some of his older posts from Sept. 8th, Aug. 30th, 19th, 15th - 11th, 9th and 4th, July 31st, 29th, 21st - 16th, 2018.)
Hemp, Inc. also has a model “Small Family Farm” in North Carolina situated on 12 acres that consists of a cloning room, a greenhouse, and enough land to grow 2,000-3,000 high CBD hemp plants. (This model farm can be seen on Bruce Perlowin's Facebook page, in the Aug. 22nd - 26th, 2018 posts.) By showing farmers how to grow high CBD hemp plants, operate a greenhouse and turn a barn into a cloning room to earn $500,000 a year, the “Small Family Farm” can reappear on the American landscape. After all, the original small family farms in America were able to survive economically by growing hemp as their main cash crop and the first 5 presidents of the United States were all hemp farmers.
According to Perlowin, the company is preparing to grow on up to 50 acres of land in Oregon, some acres in Arizona, 50 of acres in NC (combination of hemp and kenaf), and an undetermined amount in Puerto Rico. He says collective sales from all these grows will be extremely significant in terms of pre-rolls, high CBD buds, distillate, isolate and biomass. “By 2020, we anticipate the main function of the company will be sales and marketing as we will have completed the infrastructure to support that sales and marketing. Right now, I believe we have the largest footprint with vertical integration in the hemp industry in America today. We are always looking for joint ventures where we have or can expand our footprint,” commented Perlowin.
Moreover, “A to Z” services for the farmers are available - from harvesting to drying, bagging, curing, storing, nitrogen sparging, machine trimming, hand trimming, and selling, creating a “one stop shop” for the small to large family farms. And with the soon-to-be addition of our third party, on-site testing labs from Digipath Labs, local farmers can do their testing, processing and selling in the same place. Digipath brings their proprietary ISO-17025:2017 accredited standard operating procedures and testing protocols, to establish, maintain, and operate each lab.
Digipath will bring state-of-the-art equipment, lab expertise, proprietary operating procedures and management to Hemp, Inc.’s rapidly growing locations to ensure the highest quality of goods before entering the marketplace. They will provide all necessary laboratory-expertise and related management services to develop and operate each Lab, including purchasing and maintenance of the laboratory instrumentation, as well as hiring and comprehensive training of lab personnel.
Without an in-house, third-party testing laboratory, products in need of testing would need to be transported off site, which could mean waiting days or even weeks for results. The addition of Digipath at Hemp, Inc.’s production centers will expedite testing processes and further support new business developments.
Division Three – The Hemp Extraction Infrastructure
The Hemp CBD Oil Extraction Infrastructure (Division Three) originally consisted of a Supercritical C02 Extractor. After operating for over a year it has been determined that Hemp, Inc. will be upgrading to a much larger and advanced alcohol extraction process. These large-scale extractors are expected to be placed in all additional hemp processing arenas, thus completing this part of building the industrial hemp infrastructure. The CBD oil that we extracted from our 2018 hemp grows in North Carolina has been made into pure crystalline CBD isolate which we will add to our King of Hemp branded line of pre-rolls to bring to the marketplace and a pre-roll fortified with pure crystalline CBD isolate.
Division Four – The Hemp Educational Infrastructure
The Hemp Educational Infrastructure (Division Four) includes Hemp, Inc.'s Hemp University which focuses on educating and empowering Hemp farmers and entrepreneurs with knowledge, processing, infrastructure and support. The educational seminars, through the Hemp University, are held periodically and teach farmers and landowners how to create a profitable income stream by maximizing the per-acre crop revenue. Through this division, Hemp, Inc. has trained well over 500 farmers in its first two years by doing six Hemp University seminars in North Carolina.
In March 2019, Hemp, Inc. completed the first west coast Hemp University in Oregon, which helped educate attendees about the various opportunities that have become available for Southern Oregon residents and farmers. The all-day educational seminar brought like-minded people together to discuss and learn from experts in the trade.
With the exceptional response to the first west coast Hemp University, Hemp, Inc. held the second set of educational seminars in Oregon. This event was titled “Pre-Planting Support Workshop”, and was held May 4, 2019. This educational seminar was hosted prior to Oregon’s hemp planting season and was designed to educate attendees on planting, feminized seeds, clones, soil amendments, organic fertilizers and more. Vendors at this workshop had most of these items on sale just in time for the 2019 planting season.
The Hemp University seminars are intended to educate farmers, entrepreneurs or investors on how to grow a lucrative cash crop. For those interested in attending, presenting or showcasing at the next Hemp University, please contact Sophia Blanton at hempu@hempinc.com.
To see short videos of The Hemp University educational seminars, go to Bruce Perlowin’s Facebook page starting with the March 23, 2019 post and those following that date.
“Since The Hemp University’s initial launch with the educational symposium, the number of attendees has grown tremendously and it has been an overwhelming success, each time. The interactive, hands-on learning approach is invaluable. By learning in an interactive cohort format, students gain the necessary skills they need to immediately implement them on their farm or in their organization. It’s the perfect mix of quality instruction, relevant educational content and a high level of commitment, to ensure the educational success of each attendee,” said Perlowin.
Thus far, The Hemp University has helped transform the livelihoods of North Carolina and Oregon farmers transitioning from tobacco to industrial hemp, in North Carolina and from medical and recreational marijuana to industrial hemp in Oregon by providing them with the tools and support needed to gain a foothold in this burgeoning industry.
The last Hemp University in Oregon of the year will be on Saturday, November 30, 2019, and will be in partnership with Southern Oregon Hemp Co-Op. The all-day event will host a workshop during the day to educate farmers on how to be profitable. In the evening, there will be an awards gala that will feature the Golden Grow Awards initiative, which will help facilitate the regional identity initiative.

Division Five – The Hemp Marketing Infrastructure
While marketing is a critical facet of any business operation for increasing revenues, Hemp, Inc. believes there must be a keen focus on the infrastructure first. The demand for CBD and hemp products is massive; some even say the demand is insatiable. In order to supply that type of volume/demand, there has to be a strong foundation or infrastructure in place. While Hemp, Inc. is poised to grow a rock solid Hemp Marketing Infrastructure, CEO Perlowin reminds us that this infrastructure has to be able to support a meteoric industry growth. The hemp-derived CBD market is expected to hit $591 million early this year, and it may grow 40 times this size—to $22 billion by 2022, according to the Brightfield Group report. “This is why we focus on infrastructure, at the moment, more so than specific marketing activities,” says Perlowin. “Specific marketing activities isn’t the issue. The ability to grow, process and produce what the marketplace is demanding is the issue and hence the reason we are focusing on creating the infrastructure first.”
The company has also recently joint-ventured with retail store Hemp Healthcare, in Dolan Springs, Arizona, to sell high-end cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp-based products. Hemp Healthcare is home to an array of renowned CBD and hemp products, including Hemp, Inc.’s cosmetic and wellness line that includes shampoos, lotions, candles and more. The retail storefront is conveniently located off Highway 93 in Arizona, in a highly trafficked tourist area. Specifically located on Pierce Ferry Road, Hemp Healthcare is next to Dolan Station – a location that welcomes numerous tour buses daily with visitors from around the world that stop there on trips to the Grand Canyon.
Division Six – Accessories, Products and Services
Division Six focuses on the sale of hemp accessories such as the sale of extractors, harvesters, storage bags, containers, fertilizer, soil amendments, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, balers, greenhouses, and greenhouse equipment; the drying, trimming, curing, storing and brokering for other farmers harvesting hemp; and ultimately anything else a hemp farmer may need to be successful.
“What we found is that people are always looking for hundreds of items. New harvesting equipment and new extraction technologies,” said Perlowin.
Division Seven – Research and Development
While Research and Development has been an integral part of Hemp, Inc. since day one, a more formal research and development project is planned to begin in Puerto Rico this year. Hemp, Inc. met with many Puerto Rican officials to get an idea of what the regulations to grow hemp would be and start the process to gain permits to grow as soon as possible. The main focus in Puerto Rico is to first get a contract for land with an agriculture license to grow hemp. Several land opportunities have been identified and are in negotiations. The second focus is to find a building(s) suitable for drying facilities and extraction units.
Because of the devastation from the last 2 hurricanes and the economic downfall in Puerto Rico, there are many buildings available. Many of the regions have buildings to offer at very affordable prices. Hemp Inc. has visited many properties and have several that would be suitable for hemp processing purposes.
In December 2018, Hemp Inc. was invited to participate in a study on hemp by the University of Mayaguez. Hemp, Inc. was chosen as one of the two private growers to participate in the study. The private study will include testing 3 different soil amendments, 4 different cultivars, various spacing scenarios, water usage and numerous other important growing data. The study will give Hemp, Inc. access to the database created by the study, which will contain important data on growing hemp in the Puerto Rican environments.
Many important connections have been made already, including meeting with the Department of Agriculture. Puerto Rico is ready for a game changer like hemp to help their economic struggles. As of February 12, 2019, the Governor of Puerto Rico signed a bill making hemp legal. This could really speed things up for Hemp, Inc. especially considering the fact that Puerto Rico has three growing seasons, as opposed to one in almost all the other states.
Division Eight – Industrial Hemp Investments and Joint Ventures
Hemp, Inc. recently established the eighth division (Industrial Hemp Investments and Joint Ventures). Since the passing of the hemp bill, Hemp, Inc. has been flooded with inquiries of people who want to invest in the hemp industry but don’t know where to start. As the Avant-guard of the industrial hemp industry, Hemp, Inc. has put together numerous joint venture investment opportunities for the medium to large-scale investor. Those who are interested should email ir@hempinc.com. Multi-million dollar, and in some cases billionaires and billion dollar hedge funds, are aggressively trying to get into the hemp industry since the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill. Our joint venture agreements are that they put up the money and we put up the expertise in a 50/50 revenue share. This will save the large-scale hemp investor two years and dozens of mistakes that they will make without an expert in the hemp industry. This is where Hemp, Inc.’s vast network and resources in the industrial hemp industry come into play because this is something that can easily be provided.
Division Nine – Industrial Hemp Consulting
Hemp, Inc.’s Industrial Hemp and Medical Marijuana Consulting Company (IHMMCC) was recently restructured as its ninth division and is now “Division Nine - Industrial Hemp Consulting”. With an influx of public companies wanting to expand into the industrial hemp industry, Hemp, Inc. has been inundated with potential consulting agreements. To keep up, Hemp, Inc. revamped its consulting division to work hands-on with each company to provide its years of expertise. According to Perlowin, there is definitely a sense of a “Community of Companies” whereby a lot of companies are working together to pool their resources, marketing connections and strategies in order to grow simultaneously.
Typically, companies seeking in depth consulting services from Hemp, Inc. pay mostly in stock since cash flow is oftentimes tight during the developmental stage of start-up companies in this industry. Through Hemp, Inc.’s Division Nine – Industrial Hemp Consulting, a wide range of services are forged from the experiences of creating the first publicly trading company in the cannabis sector (Medical Marijuana, Inc.) and having well over a decade of experience in the cannabis industry’s public sector. Perlowin, Hemp, Inc.’s chief executive officer also has over five decades in the industry itself.
Division Ten - Entertainment
Hemp, Inc.’s newest division, Entertainment, will cover everything from investing in the movie The King of Pot and other historical movies representing our industry up to the docuseries on the Modern Day History of Hemp. Those interested investing in either one of these ventures should contact Project Manager Chris Tinney at 855-554-6834 or via email, chris@christinney.com.
THE GREAT AMERICAN HEMPATHON UPDATE
According to Hemp, Inc. executives, The Great American Hempathon in Golden Valley, Arizona, which created joint ventures with growers, is no longer being promoted. Hemp, Inc. CEO, Bruce Perlowin, commented that the Hempathon got off to a late start. “The state of Arizona was late issuing licenses to grow hemp due to the overwhelming number of applications that they received. I think they expected dozens but received a couple hundred. Our Hempathon did have four participants though,” said Perlowin.
According to Perlowin, the company will start The Great American Hempathon much earlier next year so everyone can plant on time to ensure the success of the planting. In the meantime, special plots have been built out with better camera angles for recording and/or live streaming. Soil amendments, nutrients and microbes will be tested to see which commercial products work the best with industrial hemp. The land will be prepped starting next month.
The article, Growing Pains: Arizona farmers struggle with their first hemp crop, published August 22, 2019, sheds some light on what some Arizona farmers have been struggling with trying to plant hemp in Arizona. One farmer, who has been farming for 40 years, stated, “It isn’t going well, with the fledgling plants overmatched by relentless heat, weeds, and bugs. The success rate has been pretty low." He continued saying, “We've learned a lot of what not to do, and we will not repeat that in the future, but I think the crop has a great future in Arizona." There’s always a learning curve and Perlowin is optimistic next year will be a success.
Hemp, Inc.’s grows in Oregon and North Carolina are doing extremely well. Specifics, in terms of numbers, will be reported in a future press release. Perlowin did mention, however, that he expects revenues to be in the “multi millions”.
The company is also continuing building out the Veteran Village Kins Communities.

INDIANAPOLIS – Results of a six-month media trust project confirm that while it’s difficult – if not impossible – to sway people’s opinions surrounding news, explaining the process of news gathering and decision making is beneficial.
Findings from the project, “Media Trust & Democracy: The Casper Project,” were announced last week during Excellence in Journalism 2019 in San Antonio. The Society of Professional Journalists and the SPJ Foundation concluded the media trust project, based in Casper, Wyoming, that aimed to get a deeper understanding of the reasons many people distrust news organizations and their reporting.
Read the full report and watch the Casper Project video.
The project, led by Journalist on Call Rod Hicks, included 36 participants from all walks of life. They were asked to attend five discussions and presentations that exposed them to the inner workings of the press.
Conservative Wyoming residents who participated said the press is biased against conservative values, intent on smearing President Donald Trump and uninterested in changing its ways. They, like moderates and liberals in the project, made no significant changes in their news consumption habits or level of trust in the news media after going through the sessions.
The project began in February and held its final session, which featured a panel of national journalists, in July. Hicks also will return to Casper on Oct. 8 to discuss the report with the participants. Wyoming was selected because it has the highest level of news media distrust, according to a survey by Gallup released last year.
Although no one changed their view of the press, the project produced valuable details about issues people have with the press, Hicks said. Most participants said they found the exercise worthwhile and learned a lot.
“For me, one of the big takeaways is that conservatives do not see themselves reflected in mainstream news coverage,” Hicks said.
The goal of the project was to help skeptical news consumers better understand the process of gathering and disseminating news, expose them to local and national journalists and listen to their grievances about the press, with hope of finding ways news organizations might address their complaints. The project also wanted to determine whether exposing participants to these activities would produce any changes in their trust of the press.
SPJ and the SPJ Foundation hopes to continue media-trust and media literacy programs. Hicks also encourages other journalists and news organizations to implement similar projects and work on increasing media literacy.
The project makes five recommendations for news organizations:
•Engage. Meet with your readers, listeners or viewers regularly to see what stories they’re interested in and to get feedback on coverage.
•Educate. Explain how your news organization works and how journalists do their jobs, including how they confirm their reporting is accurate.
•Seek out bias. Consider ways to make opinion more distinct from news. Make sure reporters who go on TV news shows know how to avoid getting sucked into giving their own opinion.
•Be transparent. Tell your audience the motivation behind controversial decisions.
•Create your own Casper Project. Tailor it to your audience, adding or removing sessions as appropriate. Set a schedule that fits your time and budget.
SPJ promotes the free flow of information vital to informing citizens; works to inspire and educate the next generation of journalists; and fights to protect First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and press. Support excellent journalism and fight for your right to know. Become a member, give to the Legal Defense Fund or give to the SPJ Foundation.

Agriculture Secretary Restricts Alarmist Announcements
By Dr. Jay Lehr & Tom Harris
Sonny Perdue was well chosen by President Donald Trump to be Agriculture Secretary. As part of Perdue’s efforts to put our agricultural house in order, he has succeeded in filling the upper echelon of the agency with straight shooters. However, below the surface, the agency remains heavily influenced by misguided scientists promoting the mistake that life as we know it is being destroyed through the use of our fossil fuels.
They do this by spreading falsehoods about agriculture being severely diminished by rising levels of carbon dioxide (CO2). This, despite the fact that CO2 is the gas that keeps plants alive just as oxygen keeps us alive.
These scientists expect us to believe that a little extra warmth and a lot more CO2 will wreak havoc on our food supply. Happily, Perdue remembers his high school science well enough to recognize that this is nonsense and, accordingly, he has stopped the publishing of the agriculture department’s press releases of fraudulent science. He cannot easily get rid of the thousands of deep state operatives in the department, but he can stifle their bull horns intended to scare the public with unscientific alarmist claims.
Here are the topics of some of the studies reported by politico.com that did not result in press releases touting them, presumably because Secretary Perdue blocked them as inappropriate and unscientific.
· One of the biggest concerns of biased academics was that faster growing, larger rice grains would be bad for the hundreds of millions of people across the world who depend on rice for their survival. Their studies showed that each rice grain would have a lower percentage of protein and certain minerals. While this may be true as a percentage, it is not the case as on a per grain basis. And clearly, the most important ingredient of rice is its calorie content which sustain that population. That would surely be increased.
· Reports that pollution from farming is “likely to increase,” an unsubstantiated claim.
· The fears that Prairie grass may contain less protein, an important source of nutrition for cattle, as a result of more CO2 and resulting photosynthesis. More weeds are also likely on our farms. While that too may be true, it is also true that yields of all our crops have increased as a result of increased CO2. This is why satellites show us that Africa is 24% greener than it was 30 years ago.
· They say that a little more warmth may result in an environment friendlier to insects. By and large, a little more warmth is friendlier to everything living on Earth, including us. And, of course, they are likely correct that we can see more pollen in the air too.
· They propose that there might be more run-off from farms with increased CO2 in the air, but we suspect that this was forecast to be the result of growing more marijuana based on their legal use of now.
· Forty-five studies dealing with climate change were not released as they were all unsubstantiated opinions not based on verifiable facts. Two studies were released because they dealt with facts—their calculations showed that cattle produce an insignificant amount of greenhouse gas (methane) compared to that in the atmosphere, and that removing beef from our diets to eliminate methane from cattle would have a negative impact on overall human health.
In response to a question from politico.com regarding the decline of press releases on agriculture/climate studies, Secretary Perdue said in April:
“We know ‘that’ research, some has been found in the past to not have been adequately peer-reviewed in a way that created wrong information, and we’re very serious when we say we’re fact-based, data-driven decision makers. That relies on sound replicable science rather than opinion. What I see unfortunately happens many times is that we tried to make policy decisions based on political science rather than one sound science.”
If this causes your eyes to glaze over, just remember what we know for sure: CO2 makes up far less than one percent of the atmosphere’s heat trapping greenhouse gases and only four ten thousandth of all the molecules in the air. This places CO2 at one of the lowest levels in Earth’s history, leaving us far closer to a dangerously low level of the gas than any risk of too high a level. CO2 could triple and we would see nothing but positive effects.
Indeed, most plants are best adapted to far higher levels of CO2 than we currently have in the atmosphere, which is why greenhouse operators regularly boost the gas to 1200 parts per million, three times that found in the outside air.
The result? Plants grow faster and with less water requirements. Secretary Perdue is right to put the lid on alarmist climate claims.

TINY MOVING PARTS
NEW ALBUM BREATHE OUT NOW
ON HOPELESS RECORDS
US FALL HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF OCTOBER 24
"breathe is Tiny Moving Parts' best work to date" - Exclaim!
"Their songs are catchy as hell - like Weezer-catchy - but underneath the
humongous melodies are structures and performances worthy of, like, Origin. I mean,
OK, no, maybe not Origin, but this is face-melting stuff."
SEPTEMBER 13, 2019 - BENSON, MN - Tiny Moving Parts have released their latest full-length album, breathe, out now via Hopeless Records. Fans can stream or purchase the album, here: smarturl.it/TMPbreathe
Earlier this year, the band announced their signing to Hopeless Records and shared the first single, "Medicine". They have shared two additional singles off the album, "Vertebrae" and "Bloody Nose". Next month, they will embark on a US Fall headlining tour. Tickets are available now: www.tinymovingparts.com/tour. For a full list of tour dates, please see below.
Mattheisen is afraid of death. That's nothing new. In fact, it's a fear that has flowed, in one form or another, through every album the Benson, Minnesota band has released so far. But on breathe, the band's fifth proper full-length, it's become more obvious and prevalent than ever. At the same time, this set of songs is designed to help quell those anxieties, both for Mattheisen and the dedicated following he and his cousins - brothers Matt and Billy Chevalier - have built up since forming the band in 2008.
"I just feel as time goes on that everything means more and more," says Mattheisen. "So this record covers things we've talked about in the past - the fear of dying, losing someone through moving away or the passing of someone - but it concentrates more on the positives, and being happy things happened instead of sad they're taken away. It's about finding that mindset to keep on powering through."
Written in between tours since the release of their last record, Swell, released in January 2018, breathe finds the band moving forward sonically as much as they are pushing through emotionally. Recorded with longtime collaborator Greg Lindholm, who oversaw seven songs, and established pop producer John Fields (Jimmy Eat World, Goo Goo Dolls, All Time Low), who handled the other three, breathe is full of the same emotionally-driven blend of math-rock, pop-punk and emo that they've made their own, but it also branches out.
breathe is more than just an album. It's an emotional crutch. It's moral support. It's the friend we all need at our darkest times. It's the sound of a band coming to terms with their own mortality, their own anxieties, their own self-doubts. And it's a reminder that, as long as there are songs sung back as if our lives depend on them, we are never alone.
Tiny Moving Parts is Dylan Mattheisen (guitar/vocals), Matthew Chevalier (bass/vocals), and Billy Chevalier (drums).

to convince you of their greatness" - Alternative Press

September 13, 2019 - Chicago, IL - Sleep On It have released their new full-length album, Pride & Disaster, out now via Equal Vision Records. Fans can purchase the album here: https://sleeponit.lnk.to/pride

Pride & Disaster is the follow-up to 2017's Overexposed, and features additional production byKyle Black (State Champs, Pierce the Veil, All Time Low). Since the release of Overexposed, the Chicago four-piece has toured with the likes of State Champs, Waterparks, With Confidence, Broadside, and This Wild Life, and made appearances at a number of festivals including Riot Fest, Slam Dunk, and the Vans Warped Tour. Following Overexposed, Sleep On It was named one of Kerrang!'s 'Hottest Bands of 2018', and was featured on the 2018 Warped Tour Compilation album.
With Pride & Disaster, Sleep On It harnesses the strength and vulnerability of the human spirit. Over the course of ten songs, they makes a case for enjoying life, even when times are tough, and never shying away from your truth.
"One of the big things we focused on when making this record was not only writing sad songs," Pluister says. "Going along with the theme of growth, we wanted to show that there is more to life than just being sad. As hard as life is, there are still good days, and we really wanted that thought to be present in this record. It doesn't seem fair to us to only portray the hard times."
The positivity found throughout Pride & Disaster adds a silver lining to an album that is also unafraid to address the problems that many, including the band, face with mental health.
"We're trying to be better every day," says guitarist TJ Horansky. "And that's what a lot of our songs are about. We want to be better people. We want to improve ourselves, and we want to help the people around us improve as well."
Sleep On It is comprised of Zech Pluister (vocals), TJ Horansky (guitar/vocals), Jake Marquis (guitar/vocals), and Luka Fischman (drums).
