OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 17, 2016 - Locally-owned and operated Bank of Utah is partnering with Arctic Circle for their annual Warm Bodies, Warm Souls coat drive December 1 – 23. The public is encouraged to collect new or gently-used coats, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets and cash, and drop their donations off at 14 Bank of Utah locations and 36 Arctic Circle locations along the Wasatch Front. As a special thank you, Bank of Utah and Arctic Circle have free Ranch Burger certificates to give to those who donate.

“Our Warm Bodies, Warm Souls drive is always a highlight of the year for us,” said Douglas L. DeFries, Bank of Utah president. “We’re thrilled to partner again with Arctic Circle Restaurants and their foundation, Arctic Cares, to provide more opportunities for the community to donate to such a great cause. Our community has been very generous with donations in the past and we hope more people will join us this year in providing warm clothing for those in need across the state.”

Bank of Utah will distribute donations to the following charities:

  • Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank - Ogden
  • The Lantern House - Ogden
  • The Family Place - Logan
  • Tremonton Community Pantry - Tremonton
  • The Family Support Center - Brigham City
  • Community Action Services and Food Bank - Orem
  • Crossroads Urban Center - Salt Lake City

“We are so appreciative of the donations that come from Warm Bodies, Warm Souls,” said Celeste Eggert, director of development and community relations for The Road Home. “The harsh winter months are hard on those in need, so the warm clothing donations we receive are immediately put to good use. We are grateful for Bank of Utah, Arctic Circle and everyone that contributes to the drive.”
