Utah celebrates exceeding challenge to create 100,000 jobs in 1,000 Days
What: Gov. Gary R. Herbert invites the business community and leaders to celebrate exceeding the challenge to create 100,000 jobs in 1,000 days.
In the 2012 State of the State address, during the national recession when unemployment was high and job growth was low across the nation, Gov. Gary R. Herbert set an audacious goal for Utah’s business community to create 100,000 new jobs for Utah residents. Now, three years later, we have reached and, in fact, exceeded that goal.

Visuals: To celebrate “hitting the mark,” the event will take place in the Easton Salt Lake Archery Center where archers practice target shooting. Professional archers will hit targets as the final numbers of the challenge are announced. Interested media are invited to come early and watch archers warm up and even try their hand at archery.
