Kiwanis Achievement Award given at Weber High
North Ogden—An Achievement Award was presented at Weber High that went to Victorine Pennington, whose counselor was James Hales. The award was presented by Dave Powers, Kiwanis Club President. Achievement Awards go to a graduating senior. The school counselors are asked to select a student who has struggled the first year or two of high school, but who has turned things around and made significant progress in academics and citizenship. This was the third year of this award, where a $500 cash award is given to encourage the student to further their education.
Winner of Constitution Quiz from Weber High
North Ogden - An award was given to Brooke Pierson of Weber High, as winner of the Constitution Quiz. She was a student in Ms. Abbie Butler's Government class. She received a cash award of $200, which was given by the Constitution Committee and North Ogden Kiwanis.
