North Ogden Church News
North Ogden - The Youth Group at Saint James the Just Catholic Church is a teen directed social group for Catholic teens in grades 8-12 to meet and make new friendships. We have had the number of youth growing by leaps and bounds. The youth don’t just have fun, they participate in service projects for people in the area and for the parish and with the parish, and they have been involved with fundraising for said projects. With each project the youth are challenged in helping to provide a service to the community at the same time learning to have faith and putting their church teaching into practice to help others. There have been a number of fundraisers to help the youth attend one of our biggest events at Steubenville of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado, each summer. We hope each summer to raise enough funds so that all teens of the parish may attend regardless of their family’s financial situation. This year’s event is July 18-20 in Denver. This is an amazing weekend and highly recommended for all to attend yearly, if possible.
