Salt Lake City, Utah, May 17, 2018 – This year marks YMCA Camp Roger’s 70th Anniversary. Since 1948, Camp Roger, nestled in Utah’s Uinta Mountains has provided a wilderness experience for thousands of young campers. We are excited to share this important milestone with the community. Over the last seven decades, campers have experienced summer in nature enjoying campfires, archery, horseback riding, sports, cookouts, mountain biking, hiking, and most importantly making life-long friends and memories.
To celebrate Camp Roger’s 70th anniversary, we are hosting a free community event on Saturday, July 7th, 2018, from 3pm to 8pm! We’re calling on former campers, staff, volunteers, board members and the community to celebrate the magical place that is Camp Roger. Feel free to bring friends, family and future campers to enjoy food, music, s'mores, and more! Whether you joined our camp family in 1948, 1988, 2018, or somewhere in between, this celebration will be full of memories, laughs, and fun for all! Dinner starts at 6:00pm with a closing campfire at 7:20pm. Reminisce and discover what’s new while walking the grounds, sitting on a camp porch or visiting the lodge.
