“Back To School” Auditions For Its Bands
Young Musicians Interested In Joining A Soundhouse Popular Music Band Can Audition From August 27 – September 7, 2018
American Fork, UT – August 22, 2018 — The “back to school” season is now in full swing, and so are the bands that will soon be forming at Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse. Plans are now in place for annual auditions that will take place at the music school in American Fork from August 27th through September 7th by appointment.
Local student musicians who measure up will be slotted in jazz, pop, and rock ensembles that will rehearse, perform and record throughout the coming school year. This past year’s high school seniors graduating from the Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse after-school music program have been offered more than a million dollars in college scholarships.
The Soundhouse program helps young musicians discover life skills through participation in a contemporary music training program that develops their passion for music. In 2019 some Soundhouse bands will again tour both domestically and internationally including performances in China, Croatia, Italy, and more.
Members receive mentoring from top-tier musicians and educators in sessions that foster creativity, confidence, leadership and collaboration skills. “Musicians who participate in the program graduate with a full toolbox of skills that virtually guarantees their success in whatever career path they choose,” said Soundhouse founder and music director Caleb Chapman.
