Peter Knudson (R) is running for re-election for Utah's 17th District Senate seat, a seat he has occupied since 1998.        Senator Knudson was not able to be reached for an interview, but according to his website, voteknudson.com, Senator Knudson states:

"Dear friends and neighbors,

You know me as a reliable voice for conservative principles, good government, historic preservation, and strong economic development.

Since you sent me to serve at the Utah Legislature we have consistently balanced the budget, passed good common-sense legislation and won praise as the nation's best-managed state. The State of Utah has done well and our district has done well. I wouldn't trade our economy, our communities or our people with any other state in the nation.

You need to elect someone with experience and commonsense and who has their priorities straight. I believe I'm qualified and I hope I have earned your trust. I'm asking for your support and your vote.

Please call me anytime (435-730-4569)."

Senator Knudson has been endorsed by Michael Waddoups, President of the Utah Senate, as well as former Utah Governor, Jon Huntsman, Jr.
