JULY 25, 2018 - LOS ANGELES, CA - Punk rock artist and women's empowerment activist, Shiragirl, has premiered the official video for her single "Summers Comin" exclusively with The Women's International Music Network (The WiMN). Watch HERE. "The concept of the video is a punk rock love story, through the ages," Shira describes. "We thought it would be interesting to show the main characters at 3 different phases, from childhood to teenagers to present, reconnecting." "Summers Comin" is taken from Shiragirl's recently released EP, Brooklyn Goes Hollywood, which was lauded by AltPress, who wrote, "Shiragirl challenges punk rule book and embraces solidarity between female musicians on new EP, Brooklyn Goes Hollywood." Produced by Tim Armstrong (Rancid, The Transplants, Pink, The Interrupters) and John King (Beastie Boys, Beck, Dust Brothers), Brooklyn Goes Hollywood features a new sound; one that fuses punk rock, new wave and modern dance pop. The EP is available now on all digital platforms. For more information on Shiragirl, please visit: https://shiragirl.com/.
With deep roots on the East Coast, this "Punk Rock Madonna" first splashed onto the scene after crashing the Vans Warped Tour. As the legend goes, a young, determined Shira showed up in her iconic pink RV, created her own stage and performed atop it with her band. After receiving a rousing crowd response, Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman invited Shira to return the following summer to host an official Shiragirl Stage. The stage went on to host over 200 female-fronted bands, many making their Warped debuts, including Paramore on their first ever tour, and the legendary Joan Jett. This year, the Shiragirl Stage returned to the 2018 Vans Warped Tour for select dates, including Pomona, San Diego, Ventura and Holmdel, and hosted artists such as Blameshift, Shiragirl, Elana J, No Small Children, Whitney Peyton, Bridge City Sinners, Turbulent Hearts and Moa, plus new additions Rivals, Vanessa Silberman and Babs from Emo Nite (DJ set). Shiragirl also performed on the Full Sail Stage at select Warped Tour dates this month, including Milwaukee and Indianapolis, and was added to the Transform Stage for Scranton, Mansfield and Wantagh.
With the Shiragirl Stage, Shira accomplished her mission to inspire and empower women, by providing them a platform for creative expression. She also broke into the boys club, and made Punk Rock history. Shiragirl's story was featured in the book 'Misfit Summer Camp: 20 Years On The Road With The Vans Warped Tour'. She received an MTV Warpie Award, and a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Warped Tour Time Capsule Exhibit as well.
Shiragirl went on to rock stages across North America, including support slots for Rancid, NOFX, and Juliette Lewis. In 2017, Shiragirl shot a music video for her single "RESIST" at the Women's March, and was invited back to play the 2018 Women's March. Shiragirl may travel far and wide, but her soul will always be Forever Warped.

AFTER TOUCH

EP YOU WISH THIS WAS ABOUT YOU OUT
ON SEPTEMBER 7th
Shellharbour, AUS - July 25, 2018 - After Touch (Formerly Easy Life) has dropped their new single "Use Me" today. The track is off of the band's forthcoming EP, You Wish This Was About You, set for release on September 7th via UNFD. Fans can watch the music video now, here: https://youtu.be/ARRe1Nz3pjA
After Touch's first single, "Use Me", which premiered yesterday on triple J's Good Nights, is a tragic yet triumphant look at the fallout after a bad relationship. Frontman Max Pasalic states, "'Use Me' is about gravitating toward painful, toxic relationships. I had to realise that I was seeking them out in some sort of masochistic sense - and the only way to overcome this was to accept it. Instead of feeling sorry for myself I started to revel in it, and I used these experiences to become someone new, someone stronger."
Alongside the name change comes a sonic shift for the Australian melodic hardcore band. You Wish This Was About You brings the aggression and energy Easy Life built their name on and mixes it with modern take on heavy emotional music with electronic flourishes and an exploration of string arrangements. The band recreates themselves with a sense of atmosphere and darkness. Listening back to what they had crafted it made them realize they were an entirely different band to Easy Life, inspiring the name change to After Touch.
You Wish This Was About You features five brand new empowering tracks that focus on standing strong and believing in yourself after a toxic relationship. The forthcoming release, which deals with the perils of placing your entire self-worth in another person when ultimately only you can make yourself happy, follows the band's previous EP, There Can't Be This Much Water In The Sky (2017).
After Touch formed in 2014 with the goal of escaping their small town and taking the unknown road. Fueled by ambition, in their short time together, After Touch found a home on triple j Unearthed Radio with an "Artist Spotlight" and a rotation add of their previous single "I'm Fading Away". The band has previously shared the stage with Trophy Eyes, Northlane, The Story So Far, and Dream on Dreamer.
After Touch is Max Pasalic (vocals), Kurt Haywood (bass), Jack Rankin (guitar), Jesse Mate-Gallo (guitar), Jordan Pranic (drums).
