Autumn time brings
A season of change
A flurry of colors mixed ‘round
Toss the leaves into the air
Then JUMP
Onto the mound!
Let’s pile the leaves
Until sky high
Then rake them up once more
First, of course, there’s time to play
And THEN we’ll do our chore
Call your friends
It’s Autumn time!
There’s so much we can do
Hiking, biking, raking, baking
The season isn’t through!
But it won’t last long
It fleets away
As quick as it can be
For every leaf will soon be gone
By autumn’s gentle breeze
And the golden honey hillsides
Dressed in candy corn aglow
Holding steady on each limb
Until the winter’s snow
Sweet are the days of fall
Crispy apples and warm hot cider
A hand to hold
Just a little tighter!
Embrace the light as it grows short
The sun is slipping away
Get out and walk on nature’s trail
And beg for autumn to stay!
