Hello Parents!
As you know, the students have been learning about mindfulness this month. We have been practicing ways of being very still and focusing only on what’s happening right now as a way to settle our thoughts and feelings.
The past two weeks I have introduced the students to “mind jars.” Mind jars are glitter jars that you shake up and then focus on the glitter as it settles. They are great to use to calm our brains or our emotions, especially if we combine our focus with deep breathing.
Our students have LOVED playing with the mind jars! I promised them I would send an email out with a recipe so they can make their own mind jar at home. Enjoy!
