WITH WARMER WEATHER COMES MOSQUITOS! WITH SUMMER APPROACHING I THOUGHT I'D SHARE THIS AGAIN
WOW-- I am making 100 of these!!!
Have you noticed the Mosquitos are already out! Here is a homemade trap to help keep you and the kiddos from being a blood donor!!!
HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP:
Items needed:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle
HOW:
1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)
Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control.

PSA: Due to how terrible the Mosquitoes are this year, I am posting these NATURAL remedies so you'll know how to treat the area if you or your child are bitten. --CG
1.) Take the peel of a Banana and rub the inside part of the banana skin on the bite. (my fave, when I have naners)
2.) Rub Raw Honey on the bite.
3.) Apple Cider Vinegar with cotton ball.
4.) Baking Soda. Take a small about and add a little water to make a paste and apply the paste to the bite.
5.) Place a used dry teabag on the bite.
6.) Take a leaf off of a Aloe Vera plant and rub the bite with the goo inside the leaf.
7.) Old remedy - tape a penny to the bite and it will take the itch & sting out of almost any insect bite. (I've never tried this one, but the gal in the pic would look quite funny using it!) wink emoticon
