ROAM
SHARE "FLATLINE (ACOUSTIC)"
CURRENTLY ON CO-HEADLINING TOUR WITH LIKE PACIFIC
OCTOBER 25 - ROAM has shared their new song "Flatline (Acoustic)", available now via Hopeless Records. Fans can check it out here.
Speaking to the new single, guitarist Alex Adam said, "Flatline was actually the first of the two acoustic versions we recorded. We started with piano and ended up adding guitar and even banjo to the last chorus. We've had an amazing time playing these songs live and wanted to reimagine them a little softer."
He continued, "It was the perfect way to round off the Great Heights & Nosedives Era (as suggested by the popped balloon on the single art). We're ready to move on and try something new, and this seemed like the perfect way to put the GHAN era to bed for now."
They recently shared "Playing Fiction (Acoustic)", here: smarturl.it/ROAMPFacoustic.
ROAM is currently on a US co-headlining tour with Like Pacific. The Hopeless Noise tour will feature support from Story Untold, Between You & Me, and Bearings. Tickets are available at https://www.roam.uk.com/shows. For a full list of dates, please see below.

Hannah Polanco debuts in the publishing scene with ‘Words of Venom’
Book highlights the principles of sisterhood, friendship, forgiveness and what it means to be a family
BOISE, Idaho – Hannah Polanco has always loved “Toads and Diamonds” by French author Charles Perrault. She has always wondered if there might be more to the story than meets the reader’s eyes. This eventually led her to pen her debut book, “Words of Venom” (published by AuthorHouse).
Sable and Pennah have been cursed by a fairy. Spiders and snakes appear every time Sable says a cruel word, while every kind word Pennah speaks produces a precious stone. Sable is the older, hardworking sister who will do anything to take care of her family, including chasing after her sister despite the dangerous obstacles in her way. Pennah is the beautiful younger sister who always manages to find trouble. All Sable wants is to protect her little sister, but when Pennah is kidnapped, Sable's job becomes much more difficult. What if, for the first time, Sable cannot save her? Will Pennah be able to save herself?
A snippet from the book reads:
“What did you do to her?” I had dropped the dagger in the grass and I didn’t see it right away. Before I could get up out of the river and onto solid ground, I saw his foot too late. My stomach exploded with pain and I doubled over, my face resting in the grassy carpet until I could breathe again. Finally, I forced myself to my feet, still seeing double, just in time to see the man galloping away with my little sister. “Pennah!” I screamed. A trail of pink rose petals fluttered to the ground behind them. Before long, they were gone.
“Words of Venom” explores looking beyond first impressions. It highlights the principles of sisterhood, friendship, forgiveness and what it means to be a family. Like most original fairytales, “Words of Venom” can be dark and harsh but still carries a hint of hope.
When asked what she wants readers to take away from the book, Polanco says, “I want readers to learn to give others the benefit of the doubt. We rarely know the story from their perspective.”
