With college admissions results arriving this week, I'm writing to suggest a story idea for Weber Sentinel News on a few tips to keep in mind for families awaiting their child's college admissions results.

According to the education experts at Magoosh [https://magoosh.com]—an online solution that gives everyone access to enjoyable, affordable, and quality test prep—there are certain things that families can do to help ease the stress during this waiting period.

Here are 5 tips to consider:

>> TIP 1: Keep an open mind — there's no such thing as one "perfect" school.
There are many schools that offer great educational programs and opportunities that are unique to their name. There is always something special about the school your child decides to go to.

>> TIP 2: Have a plan to finance the education.
Whether parents have already saved for their child's tuition, plan to use financial aid, or will be relying on students loans, always make sure you know how much the total cost for attending each of the college options will be.

>> TIP 3: Stay off social media.
You don't want to see other parents boasting about their child's admission to their favorite school—it will just make you more stressed while your child is waiting for their results.

>> TIP 4: Don't let your child take it personally.
Millions of national and international students apply each year to attend college. Even if you child is at the top of their class, sometimes things are out of their control.

>> TIP 5: Have a Plan B.
If they don't get into their dream college, they can take a gap year which will strengthen their application for next school year. Always have a backup plan so they're not at a loss after college admissions season.

For more information on how parents and students can reduce the stress in the upcoming days, I’m happy to arrange an interview with Magoosh CEO Bhavin Parikh. Parikh is available for phone and Skype interviews until April 7.

7 Minute Martians

Premieres New Video for

"Smoked Out" With The Noise

Listen HERE

Cincinnati, OH - March 29, 2018 - Cincinnati-based pop-punks, 7 Minute Martians, have teamed up with The Noise to premiere the video for their third single "Smoked Out" off of their recently released debut album, Curious. The video is available to watch HERE.

"This is a song about decaying love and one of my favorites off of the record. I like the metaphor of comparing a relationship to being in a burning building and a high-speed car chase in the chorus. The third verse will always hit me hard, as it's about my mother's suicide,

shares vocalist, Wil Viars.

At just 14-years-old, 7 Minute Martians' founding members Wil Viars and Ted Ball had discovered an unbreakable brotherly bond over guitars and pop-punk bands such as blink-182 and Sum 41. Now, after a 15-year-long roller coaster, they are gearing up to release their debut album that has been in the works for 7 of those years. In 2016, when getting ready to record, they connected with talented old friends Jordan Loper and Nick Neumeister, who completed their puzzle, and set 7 Minute Martians into space.
