As we say goodbye to January and hello to February, we wanted to make you aware of a couple upcoming dates.
Our next Parent Teacher Conference will take place on February 24 from 1:00 to 6:30. This will be our final PTC of the year. If these times do not work for you or your family, contact the teacher that you need to see to schedule another time. We hope that everyone can make it.
We are excited for our school musical! Our students have been working diligently to produce an amazing rendition of Mulan. “Mulan Jr.” will run February 28, March 1, 2, and 4. Performances on Thursday, Friday and Monday begin at 7:00 PM. Saturday’s performance will be a matinee and start at 2:00PM. Come witness the great talent that our students have. They are amazing.

What’s for Lunch?
School breakfast and lunch menus are now available electronically. In an effort to conserve resources, printed menus will no longer be sent home each month.
The menu can be viewed on the Weber School District website at www.wsd.net. Look for the quick link "Lunch Menu" at the bottom right of the homepage.
Our talent assembly was a lot of fun. We have some amazing talent here at Wahlquist, including our PE teacher, Mr. Romander, who sang for our students since they were able to raise more than $10,000 for our sub for Santa this year!
Our Latinos in Action program is always serving others! They helped with the sub for Santa and tutor Farr West elementary students twice a week. They are an amazing group of kids and represent the very best of Wahlquist!
Boys’ basketball is off and running. We are currently 2-2, hoping to make a run for the playoffs.
STEM club students in action!
Our counselors have been busy visiting all of our feeder elementary schools and getting students registered for 7th grade. This is an exciting time for those 6th grade students as they realize that junior high is just around the corner for them. Our counselors are fantastic at helping them transition and be ready for junior high and feel welcome here at Wahlquist!
