Good Guys, Bad Guys, Smart Guys, Dumb Guys ...

Isn’t that the long and short of it regarding our current national situation?  It’s been the general way of things since the beginning of mankind.  Ugly guys are negligible.

And then there are the women, the good ones the bad ones, etc., and the “mob”.  Eve.  Thank you, ladies, for all that you are.  You prove every day that there is no estrangement between the genders when it comes to cunning, ambition, determination, ability and susceptibility.  The weaker sex?  I don’t think so.  Give yourselves more credit than that, and don’t hide behind it when it’s convenient.  It’s not a strategy.  You know who you are.

...just one word, while I’m thinking about it, regarding Joe Biden.  Lynching.  And one more word.  Shaming ...and shame on you, and shame on CNN for calling that ‘Breaking News’.  Take a knee, girls, he‘s not the enemy.  Know the difference, you have bigger fish to fry ...men like Donald Trump.  We’re all on the same team and we’re with you, but buck up and take a close look at your “discomfort” level.  You’re not a ‘sex slave’.  If you have something to say say it to your assailant, fearlessly slap his face on the spot, “roar”, scream ...tell your boyfriend or husband if you must, tell your dad or brother, your Grand Torino neighbor.  They’ll take care of it in real time.  Don’t run to CNN ten years later and try to make headlines for personal or political gain, or for some misguided sisterhood concept of a Unified Sexual Harassment, LLC.  Bad optics.  Embrace your cause but win with dignity, one battle at at time.  Don’t let your ‘Women’s Suffrage’ - ‘Me Too’ movement evolve into a ‘Temperance’-type movement which lead to ‘Prohibition‘ which could not and did not work in the end.

When you come on national television you are addressing this issue as if all men behave this way.  You are creating an unfair stereotype, unfair and offensive to the majority of men who respect, understand the sensitivity, and and know how to behave around women.

The unfortunate circumstance is that men are by nature designed to pursue women, and women are designed to be pursued.  To procreate.  Call it Neanderthal if you wish because that’s the root nature of this issue.  Somehow, it got out of hand.  Maybe it’s a divine flaw of nature, maybe it’s a test.  To put it into today’s terms, it’s like global warming, it’s a fact, it's bad, and we need to stop it.  Just think how Mother Nature must feel.  An awareness advertising campaign is the standard procedure, but more specific, more sever measures must be taken.  The communication problem is recognizing the difference between a forest fire and a camp fire.

The other unfortunate circumstance is that there is a male predatory screw loose somewhere.  These men are dangerous animals and should be treated as such.  Joe Biden is not one of these men, nor is Al Franken.  They’re not Harvey Weinstein or Donald Trump.  Camp fire, forest fire.

America is at a crossroads.  Honesty, integrity, truth and justice ...treachery, lies and treason ...all lay in the balance toward the final outcome, of which there will be sequels, a movie, a mini series, and multiple book deals.  “Greed is good”, right?  Sex sells. That’s what we’re taught so that’s what we’re seeing.  What do you expect?

“Media is king”, right?  CNN, MSNBC, FOX ...NPR, PBS ...Town Hall candidate entertainment ...“We’ll be right back after these commercial messages.”

The apparently credible New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal ...the almost never credible National Inquirer ...The Guardian, The Star ...  Take your pick, they all influence your choice of truth and your vote for a cause or a candidate.

How else can we make informed political decisions, you ask, and choose our leaders?  What are we supposed to do, eney meeny miny moe ...?  Well, good point.  I don’t know.  Media is all we have, everything from word of mouth gossip -- to telling a book by its cover (or not) -- to radio, TV and print.

Really, I don’t know.  I’m just as susceptible and influenced by the media and the last guy to sell his story as you are.  At the end of the day, however, I always go with my gut feeling ...as we all do.  I think the days of Republicans and Democrats are coming to an end, just like the days of men and women are coming to an end ...as we knew them.

Just look at poor old Joe Biden.  He’s 76 years old.  He’a an energetic not enigmatic personality ...a salesman, a consummate politician.  A “hugger” and “baby kisser”  He’s of a time and era where things, casual behavior, were accepted, especially, regarding women.  Harmless things.  By comparison, Donald Trump is 72 years old, relatively from the same era but within a completely different social environment and lifestyle circumstance.  But relative to Biden, Trump is a monster.  He’s ‘Goldfinger’ ...

How does promiscuity or sexual preference factor into our national conscience or value system politically in choosing a politician leader or president?  I’m not sure going in, but coming out it seems to be the main reason for the downfall of many, more so than even corruption or the host of other malfeasances.

So, what’s a Democrat to do?  And what’s a Republican to do?  Stick unwaveringly with the party line like Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham, or Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff?  Or go independent.  It‘s clear to me who the bard guys are, and the good, smart and dumb guys are.  I’ll vote with an informed conscience and heart.

The truth is always hiding in plain sight, but it’s filtered through the media and that can be a problem.  It’s even more elusive when the good, bad, smart and dumb team up or pair off to confuse and deceive.  Good/smart is always better than bad/smart, bad/dumb is reckless and dangerous, good/dumb is harmless and sometimes lucky.

Ugly can go either way, but I don’t think we ever had a really ugly president.  And there is no such thing as an ugly woman.  Except for maybe Mrs. Bellafucciero, my high school Biology teacher.  But I digress ...
