Carolina Story is set to open for the incomparable Bob Schneider this spring with stops in cities including Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, and Seattle in addition to a handful of solo and festival dates.

Their live show features songs from their full-length debut album Lay Your Head Down, in addition to new material and other fan favorites. Centered around the gorgeous harmonies of Ben & Emily Roberts, Lay Your Head Down is a heartfelt collection of original songs that capture two people’s moving journey through questioning, self-doubt and ultimately their perseverance.

“The album pulsates with achy, heartfelt sentiment, delivered in tender harmony against a warmly pastoral background.” -  Associated Press

Happy Spring, friends.

For many, including us, Spring means renewal, new projects... and a fresh coat of paint. In this case, we're talking about #murals, again in partnership with The Monarch (@ https://www.facebook.com/TheMonarchOgden/) and YOUR chances to be a part:

We're winding down Phase 1 of our #ARTicipate mural project this weekend... if you haven't voted yet, do so HERE online or come see us at #O1PLATFORMS on Friday from 530-730pm and vote in person!

We’re getting ready to start Phase 2 - the actual painting of the winning murals - and since some of you have asked about volunteer / service opportunities, here’s your chance to help!

We thought it might be fun to have a quick community paint party to help prime the wall on Saturday April 13th… it should go quickly, if we have 5-10 people… you can SIGN UP HERE.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

Sugar Space Foundation Presents:

Leekyung Kang / Almost Real Real

Leekyung Kang is originally from South Korea, and she currently works at Idaho State University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art.  Kang's work is about creating the illusion of dimensions by capturing the unseen architecture space between the second and third dimensions through traditional installations and digital mediums.

Influenced by her formal training as a painter, Kang's work focuses on pictorial elements, usually in the architectural context with a linear perspective, with the gradual transformation of three-dimensional forms that challenge the perception of space. Kang has participated in several residencies in the US , Middle east and South Korea and her work has been exhibited in the US, South Korea, and Doha, Qatar.

"Recently, I have asked questions surrounding printmaking and digital media that 'how do we address our shifting relationship to print's traditional role in material reproduction? How is the printmaking working in the time when our lives are uploaded, dematerialized, and contained in a space of code and electricity?'. I am interested in how a largely immaterial matrix (code of a digital file) intersects with the physical discipline of traditional printmaking. I would like to work on the relationship between digital process and printmaking medium based on the questions that I would have continuously."

"I have navigated the structural framework and "bone/skeleton" of infrastructure in the urban landscape since 2014. By exploring the surface of spatiality such as construction sites and scaffolding structure, I have leveraged architectural imagery with mixed media. I am seeking to uncover the unseen space, which is present, but never fully revealed. I would like to capture this unfinished state and challenge the conventional understanding of space, which tends to focus on its physical condition, history, and transformation."
