We would like to thank Honor Society and other students from North Ogden Junior High for volunteering to assist North Ogden City during a recent clean-up activity. These students spent time after school cleaning up and beautifying McGriff Park. The rock berm around the bowery at the park had become overgrown with vines, and these hard-working students were able to remove the plants and clean the berm area. They also cleaned the picnic area and tables. Residents will now be able to enjoy a clean park and picnic environment thanks to these students. First impressions are lasting impressions, and people will often judge a community by the condition of the parks and neighborhoods. Well maintained communities also deter certain criminal activities. It is great to see these young men and women take pride in our community and keep the parks and other areas pleasant and inviting. Our thanks go out to the North Ogden Junior High School students for volunteering their time to participate, and to Officer Child for coordinating the students’ efforts with the city.
