Parking During the Wintertime
Fall is on its way out and winter is here! The roads are going to become snowy and cold. Please remember the winter parking ordinance begins November 1st and remains in effect until April 1st with no parking on City streets between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 9: 00 a.m. When you abide by these ordinances you are helping the Public Works department do their job best, too.
Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense if they are left parked on a road during or after a snow storm. These cars can impede the snow plows and thus it will become a problem. Also, please avoid pushing or shoveling snow back out into the road after it has been plowed.

The Giving Tree
This is Harrisville’s first ever Giving Tree. Please come inside the City Offices and you’ll find the tree. Take a paper ornament off the tree. On the backside you’ll find information about someone you can give to this Christmas. It may be an adult or a child. Purchase the item listed on the ornament. Wrap the item and return the gift with the ornament to the Harrisville City Offices by December 21st at 12 p.m. (noon).
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to Jennie Knight at jknight@cityofharrisville.com or call 801-782-4100 ext. 1000. Harrisville is excited to be able to help a family in need in our community!
