THE BRAVE

CELEBRATE RELEASE OF

VULNERABLE NEW ALBUM AURA

RELEASE NEW MUSIC VIDEO "BURN"

April 5, 2019 - Brisbane, QLD, Australia -Following the storming success of their recent singles "Technicolor" and "Desolation," Brisbane five-piece The Brave are celebrating the release of their second full-length album, Aura, out today via UNFD. The record serves up moody, genre-bending metalcore, doused in weight and is an expansive album that deals with some weighty questions. With today's release, The Brave continue to cement themselves as one of the most forward-thinking and exciting bands in the current heavy music landscape.

In addition to today's album release, the band has dropped the music video for album track "Burn." "This is a song that deals with loss, whether that's the loss of a relationship, or the death of a person," Vocalist Nathan Toussaint shares. "For us, it touches on dealing with the situation of a person close to us who was going through some incredibly tough times with a family member. As the song came together we tried not to be too obvious in what the lyrics were about, and opted for a more overarching theme of loss and learning to let go."

Aura is a bold snapshot of a band seeking to use the simple power of music to move people. Threaded throughout are themes of change, love and loss. From the raging urgency of "Above The Clouds," to the swirling guitars and melodic vocals on "Ethereal," Aura is a bold and delicate blend described by Hysteria Magazine as "gritty, vulnerable and full of visceral emotion." Toussaint explains that The Brave wanted to celebrate the spirit of connection on their anticipated second album.

"We all believe in auras, whether it be the auras that surround the people we meet during our travels, or the ones surrounding the places we visit either on tour or in our personal lives. It's these same auras that draw us back to these places we visit or allow us to develop relationships with new people we meet and connect with along the way. The same applies to the music we write and the aura that it carries with it," he says.

Formed in Brisbane in 2013, The Brave quickly started turning heads with 2014 EP 'Endless', which captured their particular brand of lightning in a bottle with the critically acclaimed breakout debut album 'Epoch' in 2016, which won plaudits worldwide from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Kerrang, Triple J and more. 'Aura' takes that groundwork and builds on it in striking fashion.

The Brave is Nathan Toussaint (Vocals), Kurt Thomson (Guitar), Daniel Neucom (Bass), Denham Lee (Guitar) and Brent Thomson (Drums).

New MS Prevalence Number Inspires Utahns to Join Walk MS

Thousands Expected at Walk MS: Salt Lake City on April 27 Because Twice as Many Need a Cure

WEST JORDAN, UT (April 4, 2019)–An estimated 2,500 people are expected to raise more than $180,000 at Walk MS: Salt Lake City on Saturday, April 27 at Veterans Memorial Park. This year, Utahns are inspired by a new study conducted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society which shows more than twice as many people in the U.S. are living with multiple sclerosis than previously thought. The previous studies estimated the prevalence to be 400,000, but this new study shows that number is closer to 1 million.

“Twice as many people need a cure and to know they have a community to support them,” said Cyndi Zagieboylo, President and CEO of the National MS Society. “Nobody should face MS alone, which is why Walk MS is so powerful as the gathering place for the MS movement. Funds raised at Walk MS support programs and services for people affected by MS, ensure legislative decision-makers understand the challenges of MS and public policy needed so that people can live their best lives, as well as fund global, cutting-edge research so we can get another step closer to finding a cure.”

WHEN: Saturday, April 27 at 9:00 a.m.

With nearly 300,000 people fundraising and volunteering nationwide each year, Walk MS has generated more than $1 billion since its inception in 1988.

About Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide.

ADHD brings enormous strengths on the job if that job is a good fit — but not all professions are ADHD friendly. If parents can remain open to the idea that college is not the best next step for all and help their teen or young adult be honest about his strengths — and aware of his weaknesses — they can set him on a career path that will lead to success.

Spanish Scholarship Winners to Study in the United States!

ASSE Student Exchange Programs is now looking for American families to host high school students from Spain. All these exceptional students have received scholarships through a partnership with the Amancio Ortega Foundation in Spain. The Foundations goal is to bring Spanish scholarship students to the USA. The Foundation carefully screens and selects 100 students who have passed the high academic qualifications as well as being financial need based to provide a full scholarship for them to study in the USA for one academic year.

The students come from all over Spain, and are chosen as ambassadors of Spain to learn and grow from their year abroad in the USA, in order to come home to Spain and apply what they have learned to their home town, community and country. These students would not have this opportunity if not for this generous Foundation in Spain. ASSE is proud to be a part of this prestigious program, and know that our host families and schools will appreciate these students and their hard work ethic and desire to grow and learn from their American families and schools.

ASSE is currently seeking host families for these well-qualified, bright, motivated and well-screened students coming from all areas of Spain. By living with local host families and attending local high schools, the Spanish scholarship students acquire an understanding of American values and build on leadership skills. Upon returning home in the spring, the students will share what they have learned while in America and will make a significant difference in their country!
