Your child should be coming home this week with info regarding the PTA Reflections Contest. The theme this year is, “What Is Your Story???” Please take some time to read the flier and consider any ways that your child can share his/her talent. This is a great opportunity for youth to be noticed for the extra effort they put into developing talents in literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts, dance choreography, and film production. Last week, we had the election for two Community Council seats. Melissa Leavitt and Jessica Bennington were elected to be part of our council. Any individual is welcome to attend our Community Council meetings. We will have our first Community Council meeting on Wednesday, September 14th at 3:30 pm. After that meeting, you will be able to view a meeting schedule, agendas, and meeting notes on our school website, farrwest.wsd.net

Some of you have asked about the Road To Success Home Reading Program and I am pleased to let you know they are re-designing the site and creating an interactive environment for students. Because the changes are significant, the site has not launched yet. Information will come home with students and I will send an notification out as soon as it does launch.
