Dear KidsOutAndAbout.com readers:

KUED Kids is hosting a special Splash and Bubbles Reeftown Rangers event at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, and you're not going to want to miss it.

If you've never been to Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, you've got to go! The aquarium has 2,500 animals of 450 species. Their amazing space includes a 300,000 gallon shark tank with a walk-through tunnel, a four-story high rain forest gallery, and a 4D theatre that will be playing a special sneak preview of the special new Splash and Bubbles episode, Splash and Bubbles: Pole-to-Pole throughout the day.

When Splash and the Reeftown Rangers learn that their friend Melody, the fin whale, migrates to follow krill, they decide to go on their own epic journey, meeting many new ocean friends as well as plenty of adventure and learning along the way.

Just outside the theatre, KUED Kids and the Aquarium have planned special activities perfectly coordinated to go with the Splash and Bubbles show, and all of it--the show and all the special activities--is included in your regular price of admission to the aquarium!

This very special event is just one day!

Reeftown Rangers Event

Thursday, August 2
10 am to 2 pm
Loveland Living Aquarium

Kids will love all the interactive activities available. Along with the viewing of the show, there will be:

  • A penguin craft made out of recycled materials inspired by Pebbles, the gentoo penguin they'll meet in this episode.
  • A Splash and Bubbles scavenger hunt, where families will explore the aquarium looking for Splash and Bubbles creatures that are at the aquarium in real-life. They will learn fun fish facts as they go!
  • Animal meet-and-greets that focus on the importance of the food web/chain, just like Melody following krill for her food.
  • Programming to teach about how the food web/chain works and the potential threats to local ecosystems.
  • Taking pictures at the KUED Kids photo booth.

Don't miss this fun event that will inspire your future oceanographer! Visit kued.org for more information.

Best,
