BRIGHAM CITY—August 21st, 2014, during the Brigham City council meeting, Good Samaritan and firefighter, Tyler Petersen, was honored for his good deeds. He generously donated his money to care for animals that were rescued from the scene of an accident. Private citizens banded together to raise $1,070 to help reimburse him.
In other news, Brigham City wants to start a new program to make the streets safer. They cited that trip and falls are one of the main problems for the safety on the sidewalks. They would like to get volunteers (perhaps as an Eagle scout project) to go through the City, walking on the sidewalks and marking the trip hazards area's with a bright orange tape. They hope to use the "TAPE A TRIP" program to help identify the sidewalk hazards.
