NEW ALBUM shrine SET TO RELEASE MARCH 27

New York, NY - March 16, 2018 - Long Island alternative rockers, The Republic of Wolves have teamed up with The Noise to debut their sophomore single "Bask" off of their forthcoming album shrine, due out March 27, 2018. The track is available to listen to here: http://bit.ly/2GyLeuW.

Mason Maggio, the band's vocalist and guitarist shares, "'Bask' is one of our darkest songs, both musically and lyrically, but it was also one of the most fun to record because of its hard-hitting energy. When we were in the studio recording gang vocals for the bridge, we brought in anyone who happened to be in the building at that time - including Nathan Hussey of All Get Out, who we're big fans of, so that was really exciting."

The Republic of Wolves, the 5-piece alternative rock band native to Long Island, NY, formed in 2009, and first garnered their popularity solely through social media and word-of-mouth. The band has since then built a widespread fan base with two full-length albums and two EPs, and has shared the stage with noteworthy bands such as The Devil Wears Prada, KOJI, Good Old War, Matchbook Romance, and were previously a featured act on Vans Warped Tour.

shrine is to be released on March 27, 2018. For more information, please visit http://therepublicofwolves.com/.

Ernst, Wagner Lead Colleagues in Call for Strengthened Protections for Most Vulnerable in International Negotiations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Congresswoman Ann Wagner (MO-2) led 28 of their colleagues in a letter to United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, urging the United States Mission to the United Nations (USUN) to ensure this Administration’s commitment to pro-life values is upheld in all international negotiations.

The members applauded President Trump’s executive action to protect life through enacting the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance plan (PLGHA), and called on Ambassador Haley’s team to “fight to keep sexual and reproductive health terms out of international agreements”, and instead replace these terms “with explicit health programming items, such as maternal health and HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention.”

In closing, the members pledged to Ambassador Haley their “support and assistance in promoting a U.S. foreign policy that protects the lives of the most vulnerable.”

What does the fourth industrial revolution and the extraordinary period of societal change mean for teachers and learning?  How can classrooms equip learners with the competencies, mindset and agency to shape their own lives and contribute to the lives of their communities?

A ground-breaking new book by Armand Doucet, Elisa Guerra, Michael Soskil, Jelmer Evers, Koen Timmers and Nadia Lopez, Teaching in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Standing at the Precipice, shares predictions and strategies for an education system that matches the needs of the AI future.

“If we are to realize the peaceful and prosperous vision of the future we desire, a focus on equity through and within our educational systems must be one of our main driving forces,” says Michael Soskil. “We need to embrace a new paradigm: the networked teacher. We need to build our classrooms, schools and educational systems based on the principles of collaboration and trust. We need to be aware as teachers how global forces influence our classrooms. Students need to be invested in what they learn,” notes Jelmer Evers. “Teachers need to evolve from simply delivering traditional knowledge towards designing lessons that develop literacies, competencies and character,” adds Armand Doucet.
