WHAT IS A RUNNING BUDDY? A parent/family member, teacher, family friend or community volunteer. We need the happiest and most energetic buddies in Utah. IS THAT YOU?
THE JOB OF A RUNNING BUDDY is to be by a girl’s side either running, walking or skipping at her pace, encouraging her to do her best, but also recognizing and respecting her limits. Running Buddies will be paired with a girl that fits their own running abilities to ensure a perfect fit!
YOU COMMIT TO RUN TWICE with your buddy, once at her practice 5K (about 2-3 weeks before the June 2nd 5k Celebration Event at Sugarhouse Park) and the day of the 5K Event. Each school site has a different practice day/time and these are listed on our website under ‘program locations’.
REGISTER FOR OUR JUNE 2nd 5K EVENT, pay the $30 event fee and choose the ‘Running Buddy’ option. Either choose a school that you would like to run with or select the ‘choose for me’ option and we will contact you to match you up with the school that works best with your schedule. Register today!

Premieres New Song "Birthdays"
With Substream
Tel Aviv, Israel - May 9th, 2018 - Pop-punk band Bare Dreams announces the exclusive premiere of their single "Birthdays" with Substream Magazine. Listen to the track HERE. The song is off of the band's debut EP Au Revoir out May 25th.
"This song describes the hopelessness in watching someone you love move on as you try to pick up the pieces and forget about him," states Bare Dreams singer and guitarist Itay Aviv.
"Birthdays" is the third single off the band's debut EP Au Revoir, following singles "Why Can't I" and "Last Night". The EP is set for release on May 25th. Each single is available for purchase HERE.
Coming all the way from Tel Aviv, Israel, Bare Dreams provides a new and unusual sound inspired by new and old punk and alternative music. The band was formed two years ago by Itay Aviv (vocals/guitar) and Eldar Moshe (drums), originally with the idea of being an acoustic duo. However, a year later Roee Berezowitz (guitar) and Itamar Hayuth (bass) joined the group solidifying what has now become the four-piece Bare Dreams. The line-up change enabled the group to recreate themselves and their music helping to inspire the band's forthcoming EP.

“Over the past decade, it’s become increasingly apparent that Washington has no appetite for fiscal restraint.”
That is what my former Heritage Action colleague, and current deputy director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, Russ Vought, wrote in the Wall Street Journal. And that is why, this morning, President Trump proposed the largest rescissions request ever made to Congress.
This first round of rescissions goes after “unobligated balances” or money that was previously appropriated but never spent. The list includes:
Lawmakers—Republicans and Democrats alike—have no excuses. Every dollar in this proposal is “no longer necessary, has been diverted from its original intent, or has sat unused for years.” President Trump’s initial request strategically goes after unobligated funds before tackling the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill to help lawmakers build muscle memory on the process first.
The first step is to put pressure on the House to act immediately and then tout House-passage as a victory.
After that, we shift our attention to the Senate and say, “the House acted. Now it is the Senate’s turn.” It’s only with a strong House showing that we can force the issue in the Senate and get the votes necessary to lay the foundation for going after the next pot of wasteful money.
As House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said yesterday, “This is I believe the first of many rescission packages that you’ll see.”
We need every conservative on board and engaged in this effort.
