The GOSPEL IN ART EXHIBIT featuring LIZ LEMON SWINDLE will be held April 2-6 from 9 am to 9 pm each day (closed at 4 pm on Sunday) at the Joseph Smith Building in the Gold Room during Spring LDS Conference. This EXHIBIT OF GOSPEL ART MASTERPIECES by major Christian artists including Liz Lemon Swindle, Del Parson, Emily Dyches Pugmire, Joseph Brickey, Randy Collier, Val Chadwick Bagley, and Kendra Burton. It is shaping up to be a magnificent FREE attraction that we expect thousands of guests will visit, similar to last October’s exhibit that was called “The Lost Book of Mormon Sketches Exhibition”. The focal point of this Gospel in Art inspiring exhibit is the MASTERPIECES that will be on display and most paintings and prints for sale, along with the didactic material posted by each painting that explains THE STORY BEHIND THE ART.
Each visitor will receive a FREE Gospel in Art Magazine which is of the highest quality and features images and the stories of the art at the Exhibit. As guests enter the GOLD ROOM AT THE JOSEPH SMITH BUILDING they can register to enter our give-a-way of several pieces of art including a beautiful framed and signed giclee by Liz Lemon Swindle. The winners will be announced on April 7th on ABC 4 Utah who is one of the presenting sponsors of the event. Many originals and prints will be for sale along with a few wonderful books. Come and meet the authors and artists who will be at the Joseph Smith Building at various times during the week. You will also be able to watch artist Del Parson painting live at the Joseph Smith Building on Friday April 4th at about noon and again on Sat. April 5th much of the day.
An exciting event about the exhibit will be the unveiling of a new MASTERPIECE from Liz Lemon Swindle called, “Follow Me” “I started a piece that I am calling “Follow Me”. It is a view of the Savior’s feet, walking on water and it is a back view and it beckons the call, Follow Me”.–Liz Lemon Swindle. You can see her new original all week.
