Yubero named Medical Director of Northern Utah Rehabilitation Hospital
Dr. Francis Yubero recently was named medical director for Northern Utah Rehabilitation Hospital. Northern Utah Rehabilitation Hospital is a new 40-bed freestanding facility that provides intensive physical rehabilitation services to patients recovering from, strokes, brain, spinal cord and orthopedic injuries, and other impairments as a result of injury or illness.
Yubero is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He possesses more than 20 years of medical and leadership experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation, practicing previously at medical centers throughout California and Utah.
Yubero is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the International Medical Association of Lourdes. He is a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and earned his medical doctorate from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of California, Irvine and an externship in spine care at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif. Yubero also completed a fellowship in spinal cord injury and amputation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Northern Utah Rehabilitation Hospital, which is located at 5825 Harrison Boulevard, in South Ogden, Utah, consists of 52,000 square feet, and will begin accepting patients this summer. It has created more than 120 new jobs for the area.
