We are off to a great start with Growth Mindset. If you missed the previous email sent in August explaining Growth Mindset, click HERE
During visits by our school counselor the first two weeks of schools, students learned the growth mindset chant. I’ve attached the chant to this email if you want to practice it at home.
During September we are focusing on Mindfulness. Click here to check out this video. Our “catch phrase” is “Let’s do a reset.” Mrs. Ramage, our school counselor, is teaching the students about Balloon Breath(calming), Ocean Breath(calming), and Lion Breath(energizing). Ask your student to show you each of these breathing techniques and have them share what they learned from the chocolate chip experience. Mrs. Ramage will be finished visiting all of the 1-6 classrooms teaching this information by Friday of this week.
As you explore mindfulness, you may want to check out mindyeti.com and do a free subscription to see other ways you can use mindfulness with your child. Mrs. Ramage will be using mindyeti throughout the year as she visits classrooms.

We are excited to announce a new program being offered through Weber School District. Weber School District has partnered with Smart Smiles to provide preventative oral healthcare services to our students at no cost to the student or families. All students, regardless of ability to pay are seen. Insurance is billed if eligible (Medicaid and CHIP is also accepted). Students are seen individually onsite at the school, during school times, by a Registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant, with a follow-up dental exam by a Dentist.
