‘Mr. Ivan’s Farm’ by Cynthia Fintel gets new marketing campaign
Book follows Mr. Ivan’s granddaughter as she tells all about the farm and the things on it
SUTTON, Neb. – Cynthia Fintel and her husband have two adult children who were raised on a farm in rural Nebraska. For her, growing up on a farm means always staying busy but also having a lot of fun. In her book titled “Mr. Ivan’s Farm” (published by WestBow Press in November 2017), readers will follow along as Mr. Ivan’s granddaughter tells all about the farm and the things on it.
Set for a new marketing campaign, readers will go through the seasons and routines of the average farmer as his granddaughter explains how she is small but everything around her is big. They will learn all about what makes a farm work and the many safety lessons his granddaughter, her siblings and cousins have learned.
“This is a cute story that will make you laugh, with illustrations that will grab you from beginning to end,” Fintel says. “It will appeal to parents reading to their young children ages 3 to 7 year olds reading on their own.”
Through the publication of “Mr. Ivan’s Farm,” Fintel hopes to teach readers about life on a modern day farm as well as how young children can have fun on a farm.

Friends, we've got a special #FeaturedCreative for you this week... while Jane Kim is still working in Ogden, this week we're happy to announce the return of a genre-busting artist and musician who performed for us at Alleged back in April of 2016. Thollem McDonas is swinging back through town, with a performance in SLC next week... so check him out... below, AND on stage!
Tag yourself in a selfie in front of Monarch in Moda, our mural at The Monarch on September 22.
1 bonus entry each: sign up for newsletter, follow us on IG, FB and Twitter, Tag a friend
The person with the most points at midnight on September 22 WINS.
Winner will be announced the following Monday.
By now, through a couple articles and a slew of social media posts, (not to mention merely passing by The Monarch), we hope you’ve picked up on the fact that we’ve been very busy with a big new public art project in the Nine Rails Creative District (@ninerailsogden)… specifically, at our future home, @The Monarch.
Concept to Reality
On September 18th, Ogden Downtown Alliance held its first Nine Rails Creative District Association meeting at The Argo House.
Sara Meess, Project Coordinator for Ogden City Development, introduced the Creative District with background information, goals and a review of the Master Plan which can be found at ogdencity.com/creativedistrict.
We receive many questions from our community. Most of them fit under “why?” So, today, we have interviewed the man in charge, Thaine Fischer, himself, and we’re going to answer your most burning questions as to WHY?
Why did The Monarch decide to host and support the #migratingmural project?
As the epicenter of the Nine Rails Creative District, we knew we needed a progressive identity. We considered a few brands/names, but none of them quite fit.
