Secretary Perdue to visit Raceland Raw Sugar with Congressman Garret Graves and Commissioner Michael Strain  

WHAT: Secretary Perdue will tour the Raceland Raw Sugar with Congressman Garret Graves and Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Michael Strain. Following the tour, Secretary Perdue, Congressman Graves, and Commissioner Strain will hold a town hall with agriculture producers.

5th ANNUAL SOLUTION SUMMIT FOCUSES ON OPIOID SOLUTIONS AND RESOURCES

SALT LAKE CITY – On Friday, October 12th, Utah Opioid Task Force co-chairs Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah), DEA District Agent in Charge for Utah Brian Besser, and Utah Attorney General Sean D. Reyes will host the 5th Annual Solution Summit – Instead: Connecting for a Cure addressing solutions and resources available to fight the opioid crisis in Utah.
 
The event will have two separate sessions. The morning session is for students and schools throughout the state and will run from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm MST. The afternoon is a general adult session open to the public and will run from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The afternoon session includes a variety of breakout sessions and speakers who will share their unique insights into the opioid epidemic and the role each of us plays in being a part of the solution.
 
WHAT: Standing press conference to highlight the work of the Utah Opioid Task Force and what they are doing to address the opioid epidemic in Utah. Check Notes for additional media availability.

    Hi all, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill is opening in West Point! Mayor Craythorne along with Chamber officials will help us cut the ribbon on Wednesday (10/17), and we're giving away lunch to the first 300 guests.

    Here are the details:

    --What: Ribbon cutting ceremony for the new West Point Cafe Rio Mexican Grill. In addition to giving away entrees to the first 300 guests, we'll also be presenting The Davis Education Foundation with $2,500.

    --When: Wednesday, October 17; ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m.
