RE-INVENTING THE HOLIDAY SEASON
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like... Meltdowns
When routines go haywire, our kids do, too. No wonder they become sullen or disruptive during the holidays. But with new ideas and a little planning, you can minimize these holiday hassles — and teach social skills that help year round.

"We encourage arts and humanities organizations to be sensitive to how outdated representations may continue misinformed and harmful cultural stereotypes within the community. Many beloved works of humanities and arts are in need of adaptation or introduction (such as a pre-event announcement) to accommodate collective sensibilities and dispel harmful stereotypes. We encourage our arts and humanities professionals to use the creativity and empathy that are hallmarks of our crafts to enact new and compassionate works of art that respect the best of the creative legacies we work with regularly, but improve upon the deeply held respect and reverence we show to our fellow humans. As the advocate for the arts and humanities, Utah Cultural Alliance is dedicated to providing valuable resources and trainings on this complicated issue to the humanities and arts sector and invite the sector to utilize these resources."
