J.D. Power 2019 U.S. Property Claims Satisfaction Study.

As you can read at the link, property insurers are earning high marks for overall customer satisfaction against a backdrop of deteriorating property loss ratios and low premium growth, but there are still some components of the claims process that are falling short. Indeed, the three most important components of the claims process—how well customers are kept informed on the progress of their claim; time to settle the claim; and fairness of the claim settlement—earn among the lowest ratings of all study attributes.

More specifically:

  • Many insurers miss the mark on customer communications: The three components of the claims process that have the highest importance weights in overall satisfaction metrics are among those rated lowest by claimants: fairness of the claim settlement (settlement); how well you were kept informed on the progress of the claim (claim servicing); and time to settle the claim (settlement). This shines a spotlight for insurers on effective communications as an area for improvement

  • Setting accurate claim length expectations is critical: Overall customer satisfaction among claimants who receive accurate claim length estimates is 151 points higher, on average, than among those whose claim takes longer than expected (905 vs. 754, on a 1,000-point scale). Satisfaction is even lower (753) when no expectation is set at all
  • Concierge-type services provided at first notice of loss (FNOL) boost customer satisfaction and advocacy: When insurers make a hotel reservation for a claimant immediately upon FNOL, satisfaction increases by 42 points and results in a significant increase in Net Promoter Score®[1]. Other ancillary services driving satisfaction and advocacy include discussing repair options (+44 points); notifying a repair company (+38); and scheduling an estimate (+33)

  • Insurance customers experience considerable variation in claims service: The gap in property claims satisfaction between the highest- and lowest-performing insurers is 76 points, underscoring the importance for customers shopping for insurance to select a P&C insurer that can deliver a superior claims service.

The U.S. Property Claims Satisfaction Study measures satisfaction with the property claims experience among insurance customers who have filed a claim for damages by examining five factors (listed in order of importance): settlement; claim servicing; first notice of loss; estimation process; and repair process. The 2019 study is based on responses from 6,374 homeowners insurance customers and was fielded between April and November 2018

In the rankings, Amica Mutual is highest in property insurance claims experience for an eighth consecutive year, achieving a score of 901. COUNTRY Financial ranks second with a score of 893, followed by The Hartford with a score of 888.

February 28, 2019 - Fort Collins, CO - Grunge pop trio Slow Caves are premiering their latest single and music video, "Falling Through The Clouds", exclusively with EARMILK. The track is the newest to release off of their upcoming debut album Falling, out March 22nd via Old Flame Records. Fans can listen and view the music video here: http://bit.ly/2T7erH7

Speaking to the album, Oliver Mueller said, "This is one of our favorite songs on the album. It was one of the last ones written before we recorded, and the drums, bass and vocals were all done in one take. It gives the track some of that spontaneous magic that you get from an early demo."

"We shot the video at a bible superstore inside an abandoned mall," he continued. "Then we sent the footage to Keelan Dellisse. We met Keelan at the session we did with Audio, where he is the broadcast engineer and distribution manager. We really clicked with him and instantly fell in love with his particular method of aesthetically destroying footage. We were eager to make a video with him and the results are reminiscent of a nightmare fueled by Halloween candy."

Slow Caves has kicked off their North American headlining tour and will be making stops at SXSW and Treefort Music Fest. For a full list of tour dates please see below, and for more information please visit: https://www.slowcaves.com/

Falling was recorded at The Bubble in Austin, TX with legendary producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith, who has worked with artists such as Jet, Built to Spill, The Meat Puppets, and The Darkness. They've shared one OTHER single, "Out of State".

After solidifying in 2014, they cut their teeth in the Denver music scene and garnered attention from Old Flame Records. Gaming Event Uses Dungeon and Dragons to Empower Women and Support Charity

February 28, 2019. Ogden, Utah - Maidens and Mimics is a tabletop gaming and charity event hosted by Ogden UnCon and Under the Wing Gaming to support the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA) on March 9, 2019. This fundraiser was created to empower women that play the game Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) and encourage those that want to learn about tabletop gaming in a safe environment.

UCASA is an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and strengthening the effectiveness of sexual violence education, prevention and response in Utah. Under the Wing Gaming will fundraise for these efforts with an interactive service event that engages the rising number of female fans in the D&D gaming community. This company brings fantasy role-playing games (RPG), like the D&D franchise, to conventions in Utah and will collaborate with the Ogden UnCon pop culture convention, Mount Ogden Gaming and the Rocky Mountain RPG Guild to host the charity gaming session.

“Supporting this event helps us serve a growing network of female gamers and the local community in a unique way,” said Russ Adams, founder of the Ogden UnCon convention that has donated their downtown headquarters on 2254 Washington Blvd to host the event. “That interaction is important for our mission of becoming an ally for diverse groups of pop culture fans.”

Maidens and Mimics will feature all female game masters running six separate stories, each broken up into one-hour long adventures. This event is catered to the women that play, but everyone is invited to sign up. A code of conduct has been created to make sure the environment remains respectful and safe for all participants.

“Women are the minority in the gaming world in general,” said Brynn Salvadori, one of the local game masters who will be volunteering her time at the event. “I’m always excited to bring us to the forefront and let the world know that we’re here. To do so in support of such a great cause for women makes it just that much more rewarding.”

There is an asking donation of $2.00 per seat for each one-hour time slot at the door. All donations will be going to support the efforts of UCASA. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. and registration can be completed in advance online at Under the Wing Gaming’s website.
