A picture is worth a thousand words.
While congress and the mainstream news media chase their tails all trying to ex-exonerate or exonerate President Trump of collusion and obstruction of justice, which he is very apparently guilty of doing, Trump is running victory laps again for seemingly squeaking by, once again. I guess it's no crime to be a jerk. Tax fraud, lying to Congress and the American people, behavior unbefitting an American president notwithstanding. Those are all okay. Apparently.
Trump and his administration gang have set the bar so low for integrity that not being indicted for all these things through legal loopholes, doubletalk, collusion and obstruction of justice, smoke and mirrors, that guilty is just another word for innocent. It's a fine line anymore. I wonder what our kids are learning from all of this.
No matter what William Barr says, or Robert Mueller ...or Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler or Maxine Waters ...or Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O'Donnell ...Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh or Anne Coulter ...or even Bill Maher ...or the New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal, I see Trump as a drowning man overboard. Drowning in his own "sins" so to speak. His own incompetence. His own dark side. He simply can't get away with being Donald Trump, and certainly not as our president. Our president must have character. Our president must have wisdom. Our president mush have a soul, but I'll leave that one up to a higher pay grade to determine.
So, unless I'm mistaking this drowning man for a man being baptized into a better way of life both for himself and for his country, I will continue to doubt every word that comes out of his drowning mouth.
Unfortunately, we live in a time where you're guilty until proven innocent. And even then ...
