Gov. Herbert lowers flags in recognition of Memorial Day
SALT LAKE CITY (May 24, 2019) – In coordination with a directive from the White House, Gov. Gary R. Herbert has ordered the flags of the United States of America and the great State of Utah to be flown at half-staff at all state office buildings from sunrise until noon on Monday, May 27, 2019, in honor of Memorial Day and the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in the service of our country.
Flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise on May 27, 2019 until noon. Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute for the customary forenoon period.

First Tribal Marketplace and Fashion Show
Yellowstone National Park: June 11-14, 2019
What:
The Tribal Marketplace at Yellowstone: A Celebration of Plains Art and Culture is where Native artists can display and sell their creations and engage with park visitors through discussion and demonstrations. There will also be a fashion show for the public where several Native fashion designers will showcase their work.
In addition to the artists, representatives in attendance will include the American Indian College Fund and the Office of Indian Country Economic Development / Montana Department of Commerce.

While Yellowstone’s history predates humans, its impact on people has been profound throughout the many years. The Tribal Marketplace at Yellowstone is intended to celebrate the Native people of the Northern Plains and showcase their art and culture in a place that has provided both spiritual and personal inspiration.
