Anxiety is common among school-aged children, and those with ADHD are at higher risk than their peers. Learn about ways that anxiety can precede and accompany these diagnoses, and how kids and families can develop strategies to accommodate a world not designed with them in mind.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How symptoms of a primary anxiety disorder overlap and are distinct from symptoms of ADHD
  • Why evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the “gold standard” for treatment of childhood anxiety
  • How families can develop language to help kids understand and talk about their anxiety
  • The importance of developing “distress tolerance” in childhood and adolescence to decrease risks of resorting to unhealthy stress-management habits

The expert Q&A webinar Worry Less: Managing Anxiety in Children and Adolescents with ADHD and Learning Differences will take place Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 1pm-2pm Eastern Time (12pm-1pm CT; 11am-12pm MT; 10am-11am PT).

In a new interview with CMRubinWorld, a Principal of UNOi, explains how an integrated model of technology, learning by doing, and multilingualism prepares youth for global challenges.

NEW YORK (PRWEB) JUNE 24, 2019

UNOi, based in Mexico, keeps it’s curriculum relevant with real-world content inspired by current affairs that could have a resounding impact on society. Unique learning experiences enable students to explore and discover their own knowledge. The model has been adopted by over 400 schools reaching 115,000 students and 12,000 teachers. Karime Pulido Ramzahuer, the Director of Pedagogical Development at UNOi, says their model seeks to “modify pedagogical practices in order to focus the learning experience to what students need.”

The UNOi learning model was created as an alternative to Mexico’s traditional education system that was not generating results. The mission was to make schools “meaningful and purposeful environments” and place the student at the center responsible for their learning. UNOi’s maker-culture approach also focuses on developing students’ emotional intelligence. “The goal is to develop better human beings and not only better students.” says Ramzahuer.
