Drissi Still Rockin’ As He Eyes Trans Am Return

Los Angeles, CA. - August 22, 2019 - An enforced spell on the sidelines as the result of a calf injury has done nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of Tomy ‘The Rockin' Moroccan’ Drissi as he plots his comeback to the series he loves and of which he was crowned Champion in 2009.

Trans Am runs through the veins of the Angeleno film advertiser and his appetite for competition has burned bright earlier this season with the Alpharetta, GA. based Burtin Racing. Tomy started on the front row of the grid on the opening weekend at Sebring, finished runner up at Road Atlanta where his 1:20:751 was the fastest lap of the race, notched a podium third at Laguna Seca and fourth place finish at Lime Rock Park, a set of results that put him in a great position for a Championship challenge before injury intervened.

Nevertheless, the irrepressible Drissi was excited about getting back behind the wheel when he spoke to us this week. ”I’m looking forward to getting back on track with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist Chevrolet Camaro. I should have some news and updates very soon.”

Drissi was quick to pay tribute to the Road America staff and fans when he added “George does a great job at Road America and the whole staff at the raceway is a top shelf bunch. It is a spectacular event for Trans Am paired with the NASCAR XFINITY Series.”

Always thinking of the fans, Tomy went on to say, “I want to wish everyone well - good luck and safe racing to the crews. I will miss all the fans at Road America. Big thanks to all the movie goers and everyone who went to see Godzilla - it was a big hit worldwide. Thank you to each and every individual who went out to the theater to see the film.”

With Boris Said taking a seat with Burtin Racing this weekend in the No. 3 GoShare/Elavon/Axalta Chevrolet Camaro in Wisconsin he added, "Good luck to Burtin Racing and Boris this weekend."

RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR

"CREATURE OF HABIT PT. 2"

AUGUST 22, 2019 - Australia's most endearing punk rock band, Slowly Slowly, have released their new single "Creature Of Habit Pt.2". The song had its world premiere on triple j's 'Good Nights' this week. The radio show is known for its exposure to the best of new music and plays the regions hottest new music.

Fans can listen to the song and watch the music video for "Creature Of Habit Pt. 2" at this link: https://youtu.be/LthQApdf9nU

Front-man, Ben Stewart describes the new track as a cheeky exploration of emo sub-culture that emerged after the release of their album, St. Leonards, when the singer-songwriter started questioning the mentality behind his creativity.

"I started analyzing my own behavior after releasing 'St. Leonards' as I honestly wanted to change my mental processes towards being creative. I always thought I had to earn it by punishing myself mentally. Throughout this period, I started to trust my instincts a little more and back my gut feelings," he says.

"I've usually been someone who constantly looks outward for feedback, I assumed everyone else knew better. I guess this song is a bit of a gee-up for Slowly Slowly. I wrote it to signify us stepping into our own. The line 'olly olly oxen free' refers to when the game has been won/is over and it signifies to everyone to come out of hiding. This sums up where I am mentally at the moment, I'm so proud of this band, thankful for our fans and excited about the future."

The new single follows the success of their previous release, 'Jellyfish', which launched into immediate high rotation with support from triple j and a sold out single tour.

Slowly Slowly will soon embark on an upcoming Australian tour, which spans mid October to early November. A list of tour dates can be found below.

The band recently performed at Good Az Friday, offering support to Red Hot Chili Peppers and Amy Shark, as well as Splendour In The Grass, which confirms Slowly Slowly's momentum reigns high.
