Southeast Utah has been named the 3rd best fall camping destination in the country, according to a new report from the outdoor experts at Hipcamp, the largest resource for camping in the US (see full list below).

Hipcamp, a unique app that gives campers across the U.S. access to the most remote places to camp, is releasing the list in honor of the Autumn Equinox (ie, fall’s “official” arrival on Monday 9/23). AND to make it even easier for local campers and glampers to find unique fall experiences - from apple picking to epic fall foliage - Hipcamp is launching its first ever seasonal fall filter feature on 9/23.

Happy to connect you with local Hipcamp hosts, like The Needles Outpost Campground, offering fall experiences for an on-property interview, as well as a Skype interview with Hipcamp's CEO and Co-Founder, Alyssa Ravasio, to talk about the best ways to enjoy fall camping.

Legendary DJ and Producer

PAUL OAKENFOLD

to perform at ‘Storm’ Area 51 Basecamp

at the Alien Research Center

on the Extraterrestrial Highway

Friday, Sept. 20

HIKO, Nev. (Sept. 18, 2019) – World-renowned DJ, recording artist, producer, and electronic dance music pioneer Paul Oakenfold will appear at the first-ever ‘Storm’ Area 51 Basecamp experience at the Alien Research Center on the Extraterrestrial Highway for one night only Friday, Sept. 20.

Festivalgoers will have the chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime, psytrance performance from the two-time GRAMMY® nominee as they celebrate the ‘Storm’ Area 51 movement with one of electronic music’s most revered artists. It is difficult to encompass the full magnitude of Paul Oakenfold’s career into just mere words; for more than three decades, he has elevated and shaped an entire genre and remains one of the leading forces in today’s global music scene. Additionally, Oakenfold is well-known for delivering incredible live performances in some of the world’s most unique locations, including performances at the Great Wall of China, Mount Everest basecamp and Stonehenge, among others.

Oakenfold’s performance will headline Friday evening following an exclusive screening of Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell’s hit Netflix documentary Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers. Corbell is helping curate the desert experience, delivering an event for both believers and the uninitiated to have a place to come together, learn more and celebrate the global cultural movement calling for greater transparency around what many believe to be decades of government secrecy surrounding UFO technology.

Oakenfold joins a stellar lineup of previously announced experiences, including exclusive screenings and appearances by the cast of Corbell’s documentary, expert speakers and ufologists including Ken Layne, “UFO Jane” Kyle, Retired USAF Master Sergeant Jim Goodall, Rick Doty, “Rogue Warrior” Dick Marcinko and more. Live music, food trucks, art installations, and Alien-inspired experiences are also featured at the weekend event.

One-day and two-day passes are available for the ‘Storm’ Area 51 Basecamp festivities. A limited number of on-site accommodations are still available for those seeking to attend both days. Accommodation types include tent sites for campers and RV parking.

‘Storm’ Area 51 Basecamp passes are $51 per person and include parking, two bottles of water, a $10 food truck voucher and a commemorative lanyard. Tickets purchased in advance of Sept. 20-21 include an exclusive ‘Storm’ Area 51 keepsake poster.
