Plain City—Fremont High is proud of its place in the academic climb for school grades. Fremont is moving in the right direction. Proficiency on SAGE Math grew 4% over last year and Biology grew 4%, Chemistry skyrocketed by 13%, and Physics grew 6%. English (Language Arts) was 6% above the State average! Students taking AP and Concurrent Enrollment credits GREW in dramatic fashion by nearly 37%, thus saving families thousands in college credits. With an enrollment that continues to grow quickly, which currently 1989 students, we are proud to say that Fremont boasts the highest graduation rate in the district at nearly 93%. There are many other positive trends, like the continued drop in negative behaviors of insubordination and disruptive behaviors, and better attendance with a lower rate of tardiness. Fremont’s goal is to become “A” graded as a school. Please join us with our three goals: IMPROVED ATTENDANCE, helping students to earn NO FAILING GRADES, & increased proficiency for ALL students.

Silverline Competitions are November 30th and December 1st @ Davis High School and December 7th and December 8th @ UVU. Good luck!

National Honor Society is the nation's top organization that recognizes outstanding high school students. Since it was established in 1921, students who participate in NHS clubs excel in areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Fremont High School has its own NHS Chapter where the best students are allowed to flourish in these four areas. FHS National Honor Society members shine in both academics and service, representing Fremont in the traditional Silver Wolf manner. NHS had their annual Induction Night on October 7. Dinner was catered by Olive Garden. The ceremony officially inducted new members to the NHS, who were welcomed and given a tee shirt and certificate. President of Weber State University, Charles A. Wight, joined as the guest speaker.

With November here, the ending of the Fall sports is fast approaching. Football, cross country and volleyball are all coming to a close. Athletes can start looking forward to some of the winter sports. Basketball starts in November, followed by wrestling, with their annual Fundraiser Dinner/Auction on November 19. Swimming tryouts took place on October 5-7 at the Marshall White Center. We’ll all be looking forward to seeing how the Silver Wolves do with their new adventures.
