Bates Elementary's Literacy night theme is "One Book, One School." We would like everyone to read the same book and come together to celebrate this fun accomplishment. Our PTA and faculty have chosen, My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead Goerge as our "One Book." As our literacy gift to you, our school has purchased a copy for every family. Books went home with one child per family on December 16, 2016. If you finish the book by Wednesday, January 4, 2017, turn in the bottom portion of the yellow paper that went home with your children in December. If you have misplaced that paper...click here to print off a new one. In January and February, Bates will hold book club days with fun activities to get our students excited about Literacy Night. Book club dates are listed below.
