Ogden’s Newest Charter School to Host Parent Meetings
A new charter school is opening in Ogden this August.
Leadership Learning Academy (LLA), Ogden’s newest free public elementary school, is hosting monthly Informational Meetings for families to learn about the educational opportunities available for students in grades K-6. School representatives will be in attendance to answer questions and discuss the innovative teaching model of Project Child. Project Child will help students achieve a high degree of academic success, develop problem-solving skills, and become leaders.
Informational Meetings will be held at the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College Corporate Training Center (200 N. Washington Blvd, Ogden). Leadership Learning Academy opened its Layton Campus in 2013 and was approved for an Ogden Campus based on its successful track record of educating students.
The new school will be located at 1111 2nd Street in Ogden and construction will be completed in July 2017. The charter school will include a library, a gymnasium, classrooms, commons areas, computer labs, and a playground.
