C’mon man!
It’s been entertaining enough laughing at President Goldfinger and his crooked antics for the last three years, and also at him as a high profile yet ludicrous businessman and bon vivant New York City playboy before that ...and Mick Mulvaney is the icing on this birthday cake. But it’s not funny anymore. That cake has been left out in the rain. Sadly, according to the polls, Trump continues to fool half of America. To re-elect this boob in 2020 could be the last nail in America’s coffin.
Harsh words? You bet. It’s time to get harsh and get rid of him.
(Note to the Democrat Party and presidential contenders: It’s time to take off the gloves ...time to start playing hardball ...no more Mr. Nice Guy. Don’t pander to us about your truth, justice and American way. Get your act together, launch a candidate that can beat Trump, and just get rid of him, whatever it takes. It’s your only job at the moment. You’re going to screw this up if you don’t all get on the same page.)
If you don’t think the media, specifically television news, plays the most critical role in electing a president, consider the fact that Michael Bloomberg has just spent $30 million on TV ads. They all spend millions to promote themselves on television. Someone must be watching. Maybe even you ...although you may not admit it.
Trump’s reality show life and show biz approach to the presidency, with the rest of us as cast and crew, is intriguing yet continually insulting not only to our American heritage but to the intelligence of any American with self-respect or with any cognitive skills. It speaks badly of television.
In the beginning, Trump said America would win so much with him as president that we’d get “tired of winning”. He said he would bring in “the best people” to serve in his administration. The problem is he is allergic to quality people, and they to him. He can only tolerate weak sycophants who pander to his whims and kiss his ring. All the good people he hired left in repulsion to him and his criminal behavior.
While serious, professional people like Defense Secretary, Jim Mattis, Secretary of State and former head of ExxonMobile, Rex Tillerson, and White House Chief of Staff, John Kelly ...and former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovonavitch, just to name a few, leave in disgust and disappointment, Trump places morons like Mick Mulvaney into important positions like Director of the Office of Management and Budget and White House Chief of Staff.
Meanwhile, people like Rudy Giuliani, Gordon Sondland, and poor Rick Perry who tries so hard to think and appear smart that you can smell wood burning (his head is made of wood) are among another breed of Trump’s crew who may soon follow in the footsteps of Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, and Roger Stone ...and let’s not forget Attorney General, William Barr and Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. Brett Kavanaugh! It’s unbelievable what these guys think they can get away with.
The recent photo above clearly shows that Mulvaney has no idea where he is on the court, and that he has no serious regard for his job or for America. Further, it shows an over-the-top Trumpian arrogance, unawareness, and a disregard for discipline. In my opinion he’s mocking America in his silly, misguided effort to promote America and himself as an American government official of substance and importance. I don’t have a problem with having some fun with ‘the colors’ as some people do with American flag clothing and other flag ‘gear’, but Mulvaney hasn’t earned the right to do this. It’s inappropriate for him to do this.
This cartoon character of a man and as a U.S. government representative only points up the serious trouble in which America finds itself. I mean, what’s in this man’s head to allow himself, as the White House Chief of Staff and as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, to not only dress like this, but to be photographed and shown like this to America and to the world? He’s a cartoon caricaturization of both himself and the lunacy that has become America’s presidency and doctrine, and he proudly promotes it. Where is this man’s head!?
Harsh words again? Uh-huh. They are deserved.
Can you imagine any of the men and woman mentioned above, Mattis, Tillerson, Kelly, Yovanovitch, doing this? Or even any foreign government representative? It shows the difference between a serious professional and American patriot, and an empty-headed cartoon character way over his head displaying nothing but lowered expectations.
If you’ve ever seen Mulvaney interviewed you’ve seen his pseudo patriotism and allegiance to President Goldfinger. Mulvaney is Kellyanne Conway in drag and just about as ridiculous a representative for America. He’s Trump’s kicking boy and nothing more. You've seen Trump kick him out of the room for coughing in the background during a television interview.
So, America’s “best people” has come down to this? ...Kellyanne Conway and Mick Mulvaney? Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. I guess that’s what you get when you “drain the swamp”. Residue. But Conway and Mulvaney continue to sing the praises of Trump as a great man and president, and how the country is moving forward and everything is fine. I don’t think everything is fine.
John Adams, Ben Franklin and the boys, and Betsy Ross, must be turning in their graves.
There’s a controversy over whether to try to impeach Trump on the singular issue of extorting the Ukraine president regarding the quid pro quo connected to interfering with the 2020 election, or to broad-base the indictment with the findings of the Mueller report regarding obstruction of justice, Russian collusion, lying to Congress, tax evasion, etc., and even on Trump’s past criminal business life and moral depravity. It won’t matter anyway because the Republican congress will not vote for impeachment. But Trump will have to carry the baggage and disgrace of impeachment for the rest of his presidency and his life, and we will have to deal with this distraction for another four years. Trump will think that he won, beating the rap on impeachment, just like he thought he won the 2016 election fair and square, but we will know the truth ...and so will he.
Trump’s whole life has been one train wreck after another, and I for one am tired of hearing about it and seeing it played out in real time like some Netflix Mafia mini-series soap opera. Enough already. There is a 'natural order of things' and Donald Trump, much like the fictitious James Bond 007 nemesis villain and "cartoon" character, Auric Goldfinger, just simply does not make any logical sense for America. Just consider Trump's hair ...it says it all about natural order vs. insanity.
A president carries himself as a man and as a professional. An unflinching yet compassionate leader, not a loud-mouth bully. Donald Trump does not fit the bill as a leader ...and Mick Mulvaney is not even a qualified follower.
