MotoAmerica Superbikes Roaring Back to Utah in July!

The fastest and most thrilling motorcycle racing series in North America is making its annual visit to UMC in July. The MotoAmerica Championship of Utah will take place July 20-22, bringing North America’s top Superbike racers back to a fast, flowing and challenging track they always enjoy. If previous visits are any indication, the action will feature knee- and elbow-dragging intensity as riders battle for valuable championship points. In the headlining Motul Superbike class, an epic showdown is shaping up between Yamaha’s 2015-’16 champ Cameron Beaubier and Suzuki’s defending champ Toni Elias. We’re also looking forward to cheering on our UMC-based team, Rickdiculous Racing, with riders Hayden Gillim (Supersport class) and Gauge Rees (Liqui Moly Junior Cup class). It will be a family-friendly event, with an open paddock, autograph sessions, available public karting, great food and more. Tickets are now on sale, and as always we have camping and VIP options available. It’s going to be a fantastic weekend; make your plans now to spend all of it with us!

Hemp, Inc. Applauds Addition of Hemp Legislation to 2018 Farm Bill

SPRING HOPE, NC, June 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP), a global leader in the industrial hemp industry with the largest multipurpose industrial hemp processing facility in the western hemisphere, announced today the company applauds Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for getting his hemp legislation, known as the Hemp Farming Act, included in the 2018 Farm Bill.

"Securing the Hemp Farming Act as part of the 2018 Farm Bill has been a top priority of mine. I look forward to continuing to work with my Senate colleagues on this and many other issues important to Kentucky agriculture as we move towards consideration of the Farm Bill," McConnell said in a statement.

The Senate's farm bill still needs to be approved by the Senate Agriculture Committee and the full chamber. In April, McConnell introduced a bill that would remove industrial hemp from the federal government’s schedule of controlled substances. The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 stipulates that hemp will be legalized and removed from the Controlled Substances Act and also makes industrial hemp eligible for crop insurance.

“Politicians on both sides of the political aisle are recognizing that the cultivation and manufacturing of hemp in the United States is crucial to empowering farmers nationwide to generate new income streams and further grow our agricultural economy,” said Hemp, Inc. CEO Bruce Perlowin. “The movement toward the federal legalization of hemp is gaining momentum as more states pass hemp legalization laws and an increasing amount of policy makers support legalizing hemp on Capitol Hill.”

Notably, there are now 40 states in the nation that have legalized hemp. Companies seeking to enter or further develop their footprint in the industrial hemp marketplace are aligning with Hemp, Inc. for the company’s proven expertise and state-of-the-art hemp processing and manufacturing infrastructure in Spring Hope, North Carolina. Hemp, Inc.’s 85,000 square foot hemp processing and manufacturing facility has been operational since August, 2017.

Hemp, Inc.’s consulting agreement with HQ Global Education, Inc., a scientific research development company, entails that Hemp, Inc.  will provide consulting services in an effort to help HQ Global Education, Inc. expand into the hemp CBD industry. In addition, Hemp, Inc. also announced that the company encourages large scale companies to secure their hemp biomass now before Hemp, Inc.’s supply runs out.

Hemp, Inc. also recently announced that its strategic hemp growing partner Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc., had completed installation of the solar and wind-powered energy system for its 500-acre Veteran Village Kins Community in Golden Valley, Arizona. The Veteran Village Kins Community is designed to grow hemp and produce CBD products to benefit veterans as well as generate revenue for Hemp, Inc., the Veteran Village, and individual veterans living in the community.

Dozens of master growers, from Oregon, Colorado, California, Kentucky, North Carolina, Nevada and, of course, Arizona, companies and organizations have expressed an interest in pursuing a joint venture with Hemp, Inc. to each grow industrial hemp on the 300 fenced acres in Arizona as part of "The Great United American Hemp Project." Interested master growers, from around the country, should contact Project Manager, Dwight Jory at ecogold22@gmail.com.
Read the following October 24, 2017 press release, Hemp, Inc. Announces Strategic Hemp Growing Partner "Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc." Completes Final Site Plan Blueprints, below:

Hemp, Inc. has announced that its strategic growing partner, "Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.," has completed its final site plan blueprints for its 500-acre site in Golden Valley, Arizona (20 miles north of Kingman, AZ and 90 minutes from Las Vegas, NV). The site plan was submitted to the Mohave County Building Department for final review. The Company is also in the final stages of completing the necessary infrastructure to support an off-grid, renewable, energy system. With the solar equipment in place, the site's solar power operation is now complete.

Dwight Jory, the Project Manager for the "Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.," said, "We are very happy with the progress. Our Kins Community is really beginning to come together." In anticipation of planting to begin during the spring, 300 acres have been fenced, 16 overnight trailer park sites are under construction, and six 40x40-ft organic vegetable gardens are ready for seasonal planting, according to Jory. As for the 6 geodesic domes mentioned in an earlier press release, 1 is structurally complete with only the electrical and plumbing to be completed. The rest are on site awaiting final site plan approval. "We are now accepting volunteers who have expressed an interest in helping to build the first Kins Community for our veterans," said Jory. Those interested in making the first hemp growing CBD-producing "Veteran Village Kins Community" become a reality should contact Ms. Sandra Williams via email (swilliams@hempinc.com).

One thousand trees, on 36 of the 500-acres, have also been planted, with an additional 1,000 trees on order. The "Veteran Village Kins Community" site plan also includes a 100,000-square foot GMP compliant, central processing plant, CBD testing laboratory, and various health and wellness centers to support veterans who may have psychological, emotional or health issues.

"As Hemp, Inc. positions itself on the forefront of America's industrial hemp revolution, we see our partnership with 'Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.' being paramount in supporting the small family farm movement that we are confident will reshape the American landscape," said Perlowin. "As we work toward getting our eco-village up and running in Arizona, we are also aggressively scouting strategic locations in other states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia. Giving veterans and other Americans a place to learn new skills and take part in this multi-billion-dollar hemp CBD market is very exciting. It's a big part of our mission to give back."

According to Perlowin, seven "master hemp growers" from Oregon, Colorado, California, Kentucky, North Carolina, Nevada and, of course, Arizona have expressed an interest in pursuing a joint venture with Hemp, Inc. to each grow industrial hemp on the 300 fenced acres in Arizona. Perlowin says he'll call this "The Great United American Hemp Project."

DISABILITY COMMUNITY ORGANIZING FOR ELECTION IMPACT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Beginning in January 2018, the Register, Educate, Vote, Use your Power (REV UP) Utah Coalition joined the national effort to increase the power and magnitude of the disability vote. An estimated 300,000 Utahns have a disability, making them the largest political minority in the state. This demographic is large enough to have a significant impact on Utah's upcoming elections. Our mission is to promote and protect the electoral participation of any and all community members with disabilities. REV UP prioritizes engaging electoral candidates in concert with registering people with disabilities to vote. REV UP has distributed a survey to all of Utah's political candidates asking them to share their stances on poignant disability topics.

"The disability community can be joined by anyone at any time. People are born into it, join after an accident, or age ushers them in. As such, it is a particularly important group to consistently engage, as it will include everyone during some point," says Eliza Stauffer, voting activist and former Ms. Wheelchair America 2017. Eliza adds, "Voting is one of the most effective ways for the disability community to participate in shaping public policy and exert influence over their local, state and national representatives. It is a way to be heard, a way to be counted amongst peers, a way to guide our communities to better solutions and a way to share expert opinions on disability topics. Voting is a way to independently speak up. It is an equalizer of voices."

"As a blind person, the ability to vote independently changed my life as a voter here in Utah. With the help of accessible voting equipment and the encouragement of REV UP, blind people all over the country are now voting independently," says Everette Bacon, President of the National Federation of the Blind of Utah.

The REV UP coalition--a group comprised of voters with disabilities and Utah advocates--is committed to amplifying all disability voices within our communities, as well as facilitating conversations with our representatives. We strive to ensure that voters with disabilities will be informed, considered, engaged and present in each election process. REV UP prepares individuals to vote by providing them with non-partisan resources that can inform their voting choices. Our efforts also include fostering and stimulating discussions with candidates on a broad spectrum of disability issues.

Results from our current candidate survey and future events can be viewed at the REV UP page: http://disabilitylawcenter.org/voting-rights/candidate-survey-responses/.

The Disability Law Center is a private non-profit organization. The DLC's mission is to enforce and strengthen laws that protect the opportunities, choices and legal rights of Utahns with disabilities. Our services are available statewide and free of charge, regardless of income, legal status, language, or place of residence.
